Hello friends... Please share your best music here. I'd like to have a look at your best works... (not the song file, but the link to SoundCloud, YouTube, etc...)
[Through the Canyons of Your Mind is my forthcoming five-track EP that I conceived around this time last year; I was hoping to get it done for a 2016 release but apart from listing track titles I've actually done fuck-all on it except this track, which was already done (in December 2015) before I thought to make an EP.]
Social media, I've never used because it didn't do anything. It depends on promoting your social media first though.
Blogs are just about the same as the chat, and it deponds just like social media. It's basically the same.
Email is used for feedback and business...
Sound Sharing Sites are ok, and depend on how good you make the music, how you tag it, and even where else you are going to post it for promotion.
Paying for promotions; they seem to be skeptical about because you never know if it's people who do not appreciate the music like you wanted.
Sending demos; I highly recommend this as it leads to the real people and to the people you want; I haven't done this yet because I'm just starting to get really good. It's about finding your better self before sending demos. You can always send demos though. Make sure to not over send as this will cause an overflow to listening. One at a time; One per day.
Lastly, the free exclusive promotion. I got this on ReverbNation and haven't used it yet. Decision on what to select can be tough. I don't do videos and social media. But if I would choose, it would be sharing around the place by social media. I don't promote like that though as it happens a lot with many people. It makes things look messy. All those check my music out comments. '~'
So it's based on your experience what you want to choose as promotion.
@sub_tec Thank.
I used FL Studio demos Z Game Visualizer in which i used a black background and made my logo a circle.
After that i put it in adobe premiere pro and put the lighten effect on it which removes the black so i can put a background
My favourite backgrounds are by Beeple http://www.beeple-crap.com/ << his site
I didn't write this, but I arranged it in Caustic. It's something I've wanted to do with a rock band for over ten years, but to date I've only been able to realize it in Caustic - a medley of three anime themes.
I particularly enjoy the transition between the second and third parts (at the 2:30 mark)
No, I turned it off because soundcloud was crashing the site a few months ago and never had the "courage" == laziness to turn it back on because people were bitching very loudly that the site wasn't responsive.
Musically, the past 3-4 months has been great for me. I've been trying to take the monotony out of most of my music. Although I do enjoy listening to it enough to have had a Plastikman tattoo since 1999. Monotony works very well for some types of music. However, my tracks change nonstop while using the same sounds. Drum patterns are automated in & out of decay, the rest are usually octave animated, and they share patterns. The same one being whittled down & repeated in different octaves to make melodies or stretched out for use as the background. Everything in harmonious, but often times chaotic sounding, balance. My thought process envelopes boxes.
Just finished this one, today. It has so many layers, with such depth, that the final eight measures are repeated four times without sounding monotonous.
@sub_tec Would Zigzag be along the lines of ambient sounding deep techno? I make quite a menagerie, when it comes to genres. Often, multiple ones are combined. Another of mine, Sonourous Colours, starts with an ambient intro, turns into 145 bpm ambient, and ends half-speed as almost downtempo trip-hop. I make them with no intentions of staying within parameters because I promised myself, from the start of making music, that I would never back myself into any specific genre. And, no gabba gabba for me.
FSOL tops my list of favorite electronic musicians. And, they've been there since the first time I experienced Lifeforms Paths 1-7. WARP! Records, tops my list record labels. Both of which made me realize, long ago, that anything can be music if timed right.
This one is probably my most popular, not strictly mine as it's a remix of Adrian King's track: https://soundcloud.com/angledsocks/biothermic-inductive-mix
Probably the one I like most is this one though: https://soundcloud.com/angledsocks/safe-from-the-rocks

Of everything I've put up I like this one the best, though it needs a remastering.
I'm in the middle of a residence move tho' , so I don't have the opportunity for at least another month or two.

Okay, apparently the "Soundcloud Track" function here is being a cheesedick.

Nice tracks... Your album is also good.... Bt, How do you promote your bandcamp albums..?
That is called an embed which I used to show the playlist.
@FredW7
I like that short tracks...
@Phorsion
Fine...... But actually I was not talking about that embed option... I mean, to find more listeners from all around...
From what I have learned.

Offline
Good... I've read about these things from the web... But, what is your experience about these factors...?
Forums can get close to 100 listens or more.
Chat containing sites give a few...

Yes to zigzag - but I'm really digging nocturne and neurosis - your style reminds me of FSOL. I dig it. It's wonderfully warped.
Thanks!

interesting comment re: timing - yes I guess it's all about making a good blend of well executed and timed repetition ..
Caustic 3 does a great version of the opening theme of Streets of Rage !
