More Mixing

Inspired by all the mixing posts lately I’ve been experimenting with the main mixer. I usually post my songs too quick when I’m finished sequencing not caring enough about the final mix. I posted a song called Ishtar about a month ago that was really bad mixed, but the song was nice so I used it to practice mixing and here’s the result…

This is the original track…

 

And this is the new mix…

 

There is still room for improvements but I think I leave it this waysmiley

Before I even listen to it, I can see by the waveform comparison between the two tracks, you have made many sonic changes.... now looks and sounds great.   Keep at it, you will find and maintain your own sonic character.... now big DAW tools needed, it CAN be done. cool

I managed to isolate most of the frequencies but now you can hear the noise in that crappy piano soundfont I usedsad. Not a big deal but it’s annoying guess that’s life, win some lose somesmiley.

Good work on your mix. The frequency balance is more clear and precise. I think this exercise will help you for your next tracks.
