HELP ME?!!

I'd like to ask my fellow caustic users to help me with a few tips and tricks to make use of more features in caustic then i do now. I love this app (i shouldn't call this an app, it's an instrument) but my knowledge just doesn't seem to expand while i use caustic every day.

Could someone please help me out?

I would recommend watching

I would recommend watching the tutorial videos end to end...

I've been using Caustic over 5 years and alomst every time I watch them I have a "oh it does that too does it" moment. When you first use caustic you focus on the nuts and bolts aspect of getting a song working... watching the videos when you know the nuts and bolts reveals more.

Trust me on this one.

And of course, if you have any specific questions about a feature then ask away.

^^^^^^^^This....... your request is rather vague...........   give yourself time to learn what this app can really do.   My best advice is to download SongFiles from other users that are offered around here on this site (mostly will be found in the Show&Tell Forum) and see how other folks use Caustic, maybe get some ideas for you.

Save multiple files of the

Save multiple files of the same song at different points of production, and save often.

It's great to think that you mess up a LOT. That just means you know that better can be done. Don't give up. The automations can be controlled in pattern mode for only the measures that instrument's pattern is set to. Sometimes, and quite often for me, automating them slowly in song mode yields better results. Those edit points can be copied & pasted with the lasso selector for repetition. It works best on sliding knobs & faders. Switches & point-to-point dials are automated more effectively if that instrument is shuffled a bit. Activate that by long pressing the A,B,C,orD next to the pattern numbers on an instrument's secondary screen. A slight shuffle works wonders when using more than two beatboxes.

And, most importantly, have fun.

I've posted a couple of .caustic files on this thread http://www.singlecellsoftware.com/node/15664 if you want to look at how other people do their thing...I'm not claiming they're special / great / brilliant but they're examples of how someone else uses this awesome tool(set) smiley
