FABLE (Robert Miles cover)

Caustic Song file (optional):

Please check out my retro dance cover of a track I loved back in the day. Robert Miles, FABLE. All comments welcomed :) If you want the Caustic file I will upload on request.

Updated : Added the .caustic file for you as the original was way to big. There are a few big synth piano and pluck sounds in here that i made with the brilliant merge track function. Im sure you EDM guys will find a use for them :) :)

Hi Siccor

Hi Siccor
Thanks a lot mate for the "FANTASTIC". I am delighted you enjoyed it. This was my favorite Robert Miles track next to Children, which is a classic.

Hey dude. Only just getting

Hey dude. Only just getting round to actually checking what's about. This is really good, considering you say you're new to all this. My first attempt with caustic was a dance version of "Party Fears Too" by The Associates, and was nowhere this good. I would Def have a heavier kick and bass presence though....sometimes the bigness (real word, shutup!) of the stings and chords and whooshes is a bit overpowering.
As for Robert Miles, Children was a classic, but I always thought he was just an ok producer, in the right place at the right time. Trance was just about to go frikkin batshit crazy, but from that time, for trance, I'll always remember the "Reactivate" CDs. I know that's gonna incite rage in some people, but there were much better more imaginative producers.

Great work Joe, that

Great work Joe, that definitely took me on a nostalgia trip! Although I listened to it right before my lunch break, and spent the next hour humming it to myself! You've created a very authentic sounding cover, it's all sequenced beautifully, and the sound design choices are spot on.
