Engine No.9 - Latest Track

So I had this bass riff going in my head, and basically built the song around it, so a bit of a mish-mash of electronic sounds, especially in the intro, and instrument samples, but some of them i put a bit of fx on them, like quite a heavy phaser and delay on the sax, and a bit of distortion on the Trumpet sample, i kind of liked the output...anyway have a listen if you want, and leave a comment if you are so inclined, cheers

When I saw a new Wellsley

When I saw a new Wellsley tune I was excited to hear what you had done, but I waited so that I could give it proper attention (and volume).  So, I hope it makes you smile to think your new tune was cranked up with windows down, flying down the highway on a nice summer day.  What a nice track. Even though there are modern elements here, when I hear the organ, elec piano and horns going I get a very '60s jazz feeling.  Great stuff.

Thanks, yeah i like that idea

Thanks, yeah i like that idea, of you listening to this track in your car, it's actually something I never get the chance to do. I've always liked trying to mash things up a little with different styles, not necessarily intentionally, just think it's th eway all my influences are trying to eek their way out, sometimes it works and sometimes not, but I had fun with this one, all piano roll input, and with that kinda live acoustic feel going on as you've described, thanks for the feedback JH, always appreciated

Another solid Wellsley tune.

Another solid Wellsley tune. Nice job, manyes I'm really digging the panned bass riff. All the instruments are arranged in a balanced and compact yet powerful way.

I think a Wellsley / Wardini

I think a Wellsley / Wardini collab would be a fine thing - a madcap musical adventure!

That sax is really good - very natural sounding.

Haha, well all I would say is I am a big fan of Wardini. The sax I got from a song by Killer Joe, he posted the caustic file to share any of the presets he was using

Very nice tune in that

Very nice tune in that distinctive, immersive Wellsley style!  You have a real knack for making your stuff sound like a full band playing but with a punchy clear production.  Great stuff as usual!
