What is this command console?

I use Caustic for Windows, and I found that whenever you press the `/~ (grave accent/tilde) button, a command console pops up. If you type in anything random after /caustic/, it returns with "0.000", however omitting /caustic/ will give you an error message. Can anyone explain how this works?

Below is a file of a sharable screenshot from my OneDrive showing what it looks like. You can discover it by yourself by doing the actions I used above to get the command console.

I knew it was a trick... lmao

I knew it was a trick... lmao. I even backed up my song files because I was afraid the command would delete everything.

That console seemed to appear

That console seemed to appear out of nowhere for me while using the keys as a keyboard.  I managed to stop my samples being saved to the default location, so there's probably a way to set default location paths using that secret console.  The only way I got it to function properly again, was to merge a fresh copy of the Caustic folder with the existing one.

I believe it's supposed to be

I believe it's supposed to be a dev console for debugging stuff, obviously since it isn't an official feature there is no command documentation for it (I guess except for the command mike have but that is pretty useless unless you are too lazy to hit the new song button :D)

It is a command line, one of the reasons User Interfaces were invented was to allow the typing of commands to be simplified into clicks.

It was strictly used by Rej and I to debug OSC commands to the Caustic Core.
