Can caustic play SF2 files?

I loaded sf2 files however caustic couldn't read or play any of them. How can implement sf2 files on to the app?

hello Xmoses

hello Xmoses

from what I read it does via pcm synth but be careful the instrument I think can only be 76/115 keys and not 127 if 127 I noticed it crashes but test it first cheers!!

Sorry Idk what are the keys

Sorry Idk what are the keys you mentioned as i'm a newbie. But out of 18 files only 7 were accepted, that sucks :C
Should i just find packs that only have wav files? if so what website you recommend?? I'm into trap music btw.

You can load sf2 instruments

You can load sf2 instruments in the PCM Synth. If the sf2 file contains several instruments, you have to choose one of them.

Depending on the original program used to create the sf2 file, and the format of the samples used, Caustic will be able to load the instrument or not.

Most of the sf2 files I have tried have been loaded successfully.

By the way I was

By the way I was experimenting yesterday pass C1 and pass C8 beyond that will crash your soundfonts in caustic 3 through PCM Synth so it has to be a little bit above C1 like C2 and Below C8 like C7 and your soundfonts should load I was building a drumkit i noticed ths happens and that is the reason why I think certain soundfonts li single shots will sometimes crash if made Beyond these points not sure but I could be wrong ...

Also I believe you can

Also I believe you can extract single kits or sound fonts instruments in Vienna I build mines through Vsampler3 and they come out pretty good.. but this product is already discontinued.

I had no idea I'd be able to

I had no idea I'd be able to load SF2 files.  That's really cool and does make for extra possibilities.  There's some very good Soundfonts out there.
