Cafe del Mar (Caustic Remix)

Just finished my take on Cafe del Mar by Energy 52.

I used all 14 slots, no samples other than for percussion and nothing from the original version. The lead sounds are made using the SawSynth.

Enjoy!

Love this track! You nailed

Love this track! You nailed it and the swing, I have listened to this track at least 200 times in the last couple years.

I listen to this track a lot on GU 008 Brazil 2, Nick Warren mix.

Great job, these old tracks have the vibe.

I would love to see the caustic file.

Hey Mike, long time no speak!

Hey Mike, long time no speak!

I hadn't listened to this track for years, then I heard it in the background of a you tube video and remembered how good it was and got bitten by the bug!

The rhythm was very tricky, still couldn't get as much swing into it as the original version, but close. :o)

I was a little reluctant to

I was a little reluctant to listen to this...TLDR is I shouldn't have been - this is awesome heart

Longer version is...I've got the original Kid Paul / Cosmic Baby version from the vinyl edition of Behind The Eye Vol 1 in 1994 - it's okay. Honestly. It's an above average trance track that could have been a contender wink

The Three'N'One version in 1997 fucking rules and is the reason why this is so iconic. Your version has the spirit and shuffle of the Three'N'One version with the personal stamp of Mr Booj smiley

I would take that as a massive complement. :)

Although, how is it copyright infringement when you remade it without any sampling? I hear remakes all the time, what did they tell you?

Yeah, that is what I thought,

Yeah, that is what I thought, I am no copyright lawyer but your track does NOT contain the track, it is a pure remake, it's not even a remix.

But that is corporation for you.
