Some Drum and Bass
Crazy. And awesome. Awesomely crazy.
Thank you. The wavetable synth, sure, came in handy for this :)
Unlike alot of my, unh, "music" isn't exactly subtle. Yours often has this cool minimalism that disguises just how complex it truly is.
And it's always super great to see stuff here aside from the frequent semi-spam.
When ever I try and make drum and bass type vibes I know I'm faking it - I have the kick on the 1 and the 11, the snare on the 5 and the 12, and then speed it up to 160bpm and that's it. I never know what to do to make more complex beats - either programmed, or sampled and sliced.
You definitely don't have that problem!
The whole sound is a little light on the bass though, or very quietly mastered - I'm playing this back at about 125% of the volume I normally have my PC set to.
Thank you James.
Hmm. Plenty of bass, my end. I think it's a mastering issue. Maybe I should revisit that bit.
Je vient d'écouter ton morceau fait sur càustic. Hummmmm ... Bonne construction
Compositeur de musiques électroniques .
This is awesome. How do you get the gliss. decending bass notes? the sort of 808 sub ones that come in a bit later on. If you don't mind me asking...
Thank you :)
Whatever it was got resampled, but I should think it was this. Just a sine wave swepped down, in pitch, with an envelope generator. The filter's, kind of, optional.
