Sabotage

Caustic Song file (optional):

I made this track to play with the off-grid option which is a new feature in Caustic3. It simulates the “humanize” function on bigger DAW’s, since this function isn’t available in Caustic (yet) I had to drag every single note in to place manually and that’s why I ended up with only two themes (and short song).

In this track I use 5 violins (PcmSynth), 1 kickdrum and 6 “Clogdancers” (BeatBox). I recommend using headphones to get the full effect.wink

The .caustic file was too big for uploading (38 Mb), probably the violin preset on 5 PCM's laugh

Hope you enjoy…

EDIT:

I followed pablo64’s advice and removed the violin preset from the 5 PCM’s. The machines are still there with notes and all, all you have to do is download the preset from the PCM area and load it in all 5 machines. The preset is called ‘Sabotage violin’ and was ripped out from Wardini’s ‘Caustillian Overture in D Major’.

Yes, very interesting and can feel the off grid clogs.

As far as the file size, Rej and I have talked about this and its still up in the air what is going to happen, both Rej and I are on "vacation". :)

Thanks Nishit!

Thanks Nishit!

You can hear similar music throughout all northern Europe but it’s more prominent in Scandinavia and the British isles. You can also hear the influence of it in American country music.

I’ll try to put the .caustic file in my DropBox later to night, but I’ll have to delete it soon to save space.

Nice to hear something

Nice to hear something different Pan65! It just goes to show that Caustic is not limited to Dubstep, Trance, House, Drum'n' Bass genres but can also do other types of dance music!

Perhaps you could upload the .caustic file with empty PCM Synths leaving just the pattern data and upload the PCM Violin preset seperately for users to load themselves?

Song file sizes are getting

Song file sizes are getting bigger and bigger, partly my fault.... Some of my presets when you load them up, they can get quite large... Especially the Builderz ones.
And no I won't apologize for that ha! They only gonna get bigger and meaner when the first Caustic 3 Essentials Pack 1 rolls out soon....
PocketKit Pro gonna be large files sizes too...... ;)

this feature allows you to

this feature allows you to input notes and edit notes without any quantization...if you press the note value box you will see the button on the left top "q-tize on off"

if you record notes into the pattern when this is turned off,..all your timing inconsistencies will be recorded too...when editing in the pattern editor you can shift the notes around without them snapping to the selected note value "grid"...this lets you mimic the nuances of instruments played live by letting make minute timming changes.

What kind of device are you on Andy? Lately I been having some troubles playing SC-tracks in the community from my phone, but there’s no issues when I’m on my laptop.

Thanks Wardini, The violins

Thanks Wardini, The violins are yours and the ‘clogs’ are just a wooden block smashed in to a marble-table in two different ways and recorded in Caustic via phone miccool.

Thanks Skarabee, the title

Thanks Skarabee, the title got a double meaning since i'm destroying the perfect timing by going off-grid and the other part is as you say the French word for clog:)

A refreshingly different piece of music, very natural sounding, and nice stereo effect on the clogs!
