This is definitely not in the general groove of most tracks posted here. However, it is a meaningful piece of ancient music to me and it was fun to get it into Caustic. I also got a lot of new experience using Mod with machine inputs creating delayed L/R, modulated pans, setting delays to match timing ...
Also, Gregorian chants don't really work in measures or set pattern lengths so it had to be done on the piano roll. All in all, this was a very interesting experience trying out new things in Caustic and enjoying the result. This is something I could keep making better but for now, it's best to leave it and move on.

JHS.. JHS..
My christian education.. I saw your name written on so many pieces of fabric.. The napkins, the vicars clothes..
Not surprising to see that you post monks chants in here..
But what à good one !! Sincerely, right from the first measures, I would not have guessed that those voices were synthesised ..
Not only because of the good sound synthesis, but also on your own playing which really fits the sound and makes it Credible ..
A Credible Credo..
The only regret is about the stereo panning of some sounds.. I would have expected the choir sound to be less "located" in space.. The reverberation of the church or chapel should make it invade the whole space..
It's not that important, just a detail..
Other sounds, bells, percussions, really merge with the choir sound, in an exquisite way.. They all fit very well, without contradicting eachother.. Introducing Indian percussions could have broken the atmosphere, it doesn't..
A very nice piece.. I'll listen to it again and again..
(Listening to the rest of your tracks.. No matter which ones seduce me, which ones don't.. It's a matter of personal taste.. But each time, I'm impressed by your sound sculpting.. The sounds used, the balance, the effects, the way the instruments get in and out of the mix.. Everything in a perfect blend.. I should take lessons from you..)
Hi Opus.Quatre,
Thank you for your comments. I really appreciate them. I feel I am a relative novice with Caustic. There are many others here who really understand the process and the tools better than I do. I do like music, though, and Caustic has given me a new way to express it.
By the way, I agree that the overall stereo balancing and panning could be worked on more to get the bounces and feeling of space. Sometimes, I decide to stop because I could go on and on, tweaking forever.

Is it bedtime yet? Boy this is relaxing - calming for the soul. Definitely a meditation piece. Love the progression into the percussion part way through. Nice to hear something a bit different in the S&T.

Thank you, laweffect. Appreciated. The melody being "sung" is taken directly from the old chant notation for Credo IV. So this has been heard for many centuries. They are not written in measures or time signature, so I had to enter the notes into piano roll and build the other instruments in to match.

Hi Sahat,
Wish I could help but you'll have to build your own. My Caustic file for this track is gone ...
I worked with choir presets and routed them through the Modular, split it into streams and applied the formant filter in various ways, and then added FX.

But can you tell me , from where I can get the presets, any sites?
@prince
@Sahat, sorry no, the caustic file was lost (forever) so I can't even remember what the starting preset was. It could have been a standard one but looking for presets or looking for sounds and making presets is part of the fun. Give it a shot.
