Hi and welcome to the Caustic

Hi and welcome to the Caustic World. I like your description of the type of thing you are into, and have just had a listen to your track Question5, which I really liked, great flow and has that nice jazzy type melodic piano part. Nice stuff

WAKE UP!!! (lol)

WAKE UP!!! (lol)

I'm Dean, a 50-yr old US Army veteran, a poet, an out-of-practice percussionist, a fantasy sports enthusiast, a baseball fan (GO CUBS GO since 1984!), a divorced father of 4 (one girl, three boys), and newly minted iOS mobile music producer. Later this month (if all goes well), I'll have an AAS in audio engineering, with experience on the SSL Duality 48, Toft ATB-32 and PreSonus 32.4.2AI (for live applications) boards. I'm more the plug-n-play analog outboard gearhead, but have no qualms about using plug-ins in the box when on the go. My main genres are Classic Chicago-style House and that boom-bap Hip Hop, but recently tried my hand at trap (and kinda dig it pre-insertion of insipid lyrical material) and eventually wanna get back into using unconventional time signatures in all three of those (well, for the first time on the latter). I got into engineering to help me understand why my beats sound great at home or on stage, but suck in the car on on my cell phone, and I've learned so much, yet I feel I'm just getting started.

Caustic came into my life while I still had a crappy Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0" tablet (NO OTG support so everything was step recorded first and fixed later). I couldn't wait to upgrade my tablet and really get into what it can do, but the PC version was a great alternate until then. School happened next, then the iOS-/mac OS way of producing became my new standard, and the PC fell away. The school also gave me an Apollo Twin (SOLO - BOO!!) Thunderbolt interface, and Komplete 10, along with the laptop. So with my old AKG C1000S, I can actually do some vocal tracking and ITB mixing almost anywhere viable. I have a SoundCloud page where I uploaded three covers of songs done exclusively on Caustic with that crappy tablet, and I uploaded the most well-known one here. This is my first time ever sharing something done on Caustic, and it was PRE-engineering school, so go easy on me, aiight?

I'm semi-ashamed to admit I loaded up on free soundpacks, but still fully intend to buy a handful when my corporate AV gig becomes full time (or my school refund hits), especially from Jason and whoever does the ones for Audiovapor - ya'll ROCK. Oh...if you hafta ask what the screen handle means, you missed the part about my fave genres...(lol) 'peace widdit!!'

I am BowlG (i'm not going to tell my real name)
I am 15 years old and live in germany, i waste my time on mountainbiking and making some stuff with caustic 3.2
Whenever i compare my music to pc users, it sounds bad, but i feel fine for what the app Caustic 3 can do already. i have a youtube channel where i post just a few of my work, recently i released a track called "Edge" (a bad joke to be honest, especially when looking at how old i am)
i'm a little afraid to release actual tracks, even if they sound good, they dont seem polished to me.
well... there is not much for me to tell, i still have a lot of time to live through

Hola!

Hola!

I am Miguel and I discovered this community after purchasing the Korg Volca Sample. I'm too impatient to wait for it to ship here so while I was searching for the manual, I found this community instead! I ended up buying the app to support the developer since he made an awesome app free to use for the Korg Volca Sample. Can't wait to learn this app and make some music to share. Excited to be here!

Wow! I guess I am the only

Wow! I guess I am the only Southern Hemisphere soul on here , I hope not so! :)

My name is Raymond Cadigan aka Big Rey (First name is my real name), 24 years old and single. I am a Pacific Islander! :p
I'm a Melanesian and my country is Papua New Guinea, just north of Australia.
I also consider myself an Irishman as my great grandfather was an Irishman.

I don't know how to play any instrument but I do know how to drop and produce killer tracks. Like most of you on here, I am an audiophile. I cannot live without music and I literally mean it!

I downloaded the demo version of Caustic 3 accidentally last week while updating my FL Studio on my PC. I ran the app on my phone and was BLOWN AWAY! If I can be frank, the app is better than some of the expensive commercial DAW softwares on the market! Anyways I went on to purchase the full version of the app and here I am!

I've just started off with it and am still getting familiar with it. The tutorials, discussions and tracks from you LOVELY folks are really helping me. By the end of this week, I should be wholly and thoroughly familiar with it.

Thanks folks! Laikim Yupla (Love ya'll) ;-)

Hello everyone. My Name is Shad Bettis. A.K.A Parral-L a.k.a Parallel Ninja Kick. Born and raised and lived my life In CO! Love this state. Wouldn't leave it for anything. (Ok maybe a stripper with cake.) I jabe always been attached to music. I wrote my firat song when i was 6 i think? It was a country song. (Yuck) lol i got into electronic music when i was 10. Got my first pair of decks at 12. Started producing around 15? I used to rap and had i wanted to be the typical sell out flashy thug thingy all over the t.v id probably be famous right now. But I love "Techno" music. The scene sucks anymore. (Personal opinion) but other than making music i own my own house painting company. Nothing big.i do probably 15-20 houses a year. Give or take. This app is truly amazing and is responsible for the gaining and loss of multiple pounds over the past year.. And im truly excited about that!! Lol so thank you!!!

Hi, Rob from the very south

Hi, Rob from the very south of the UK, I'm 33 and I've been making music in software since I was 14. I generally use tracker software, my first foray into that scene was FastTracker 2 and I remember being amazed at the quality of the music being generated in realtime back then! Of course I was naive and hadn't even touched a synth... nowadays I use Renoise (a natural progression)  but at the moment I haven't got a working PC, hence my experiments with Caustic.

My favourite style of music back then was (euro)trance but I had a pretty eclectic taste, and back then it was more about the melodic elements and harmony than it was about 'sound' or rhythm. I progressed through rock / metal for a few years. Nowadays, I pretty much exclusively listen to a genre called neurofunk, which is DnB with it's own unique qualities, amazing modulating bass and is generally immaculately produced. It's gottten a little samey in recent years, and often sounds... 'stupid'... but still keeps my attention for the most part due to the production quality and the relative diversity (when you listen to enough of it, there are really stand out works). My own music doesn't reflect my taste AT ALL :/ that's mainly due to my inability to emulate my idols. Instead I experiment with sounds and melody / harmony. I also lay down a lot of vocals for my tracks.

Around my 20th cycle round the sun, I started developing a severe mental illness which has been a huge setback for me in terms of societal success. I won't say much about it, but I imagine you can guess how it may have effected my creative output.

Anyway, I've been toying wiith Caustic for just under a month. I've released a couple of songs officially out of the software (entirely within the Android ecosystem thanks to Rej's excellent mastering tool). I'm just about to release a third, which I'm probably going to include on my next album alongside my previous release.

I hope you guys will acccept me here and give my stuff a listen. I have been listening myself, and it's so interesting to see how the end product varies from artist to artist. I may want to try collaborating soon, too :)

SoundCloud (Follow me! 8 year anniversary on May 20th 2019, I have around 170 public tracks here, the most recent few composed with Caustic for Android)

Hello, my name is Chin Liang.

Hello, my name is Chin Liang. I live in Singapore. It's a long story, but I used to be a self-taught guitarist. Had to quit playing after a few years, and jumped professions until I do not really know what I am right now. Recently, I've discovered Caustic, and grew fond of it. It reignited the passion of music within me, and that's when I've decided it's now or never. I'm 26 this year, and I hope it's not too late to start composing music...

I've just joined the forum yesterday, and uploaded my first soundtrack on Soundcloud. Please have a listen and let me know what you think.
https://soundcloud.com/the-foolish-adventurer/a-journey-through-the-fore...
I would say that my preference of music might be abit... different, but that doesn't stop me from appreciating it.

Would be happy to receive any kind words of advice, if there is any, for someone breaking into this field.

Also, this is a must, but I need to thank whoever made Caustic, and allowed it to be free to use. One of the main reasons I had to stop playing music was due to financial difficulties... Caustic has allowed me the freedom to appreciate making music once again... I could only do so much with my guitar, I had no friends that would play with me, and.. jamming is extremely costly down here. There's also another reason, but that's for another time.. maybe.

Anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH, and it's nice to meet you guys. Hopefully I can continue composing for years to come, and finally achieve the dream that I've almost gave up on. I'm still inexperienced, so do forgive me if I ask any silly questions...

Hello, my name is Martin I am

Hello, my name is Martin I am from Peru - Lima and I am a DJ of House music, I also do dj training and electronic music since 2000.
With so much software used in the classes I got to know Caustic 3. And it definitely stayed on my cell phone as my favorite daw.
Now I have created a group called Caustic 3 Peru on Facebook and with my colleagues we want to promote the use of Caustic. In Peru not many use Caustic but little by little we give them training on how to use it and its functions.
Thanks to Rej, Mike and all those in the group still supporting.
Here I work with brands like Akai in a store of products for audio and dj. We always test the products using Caustic 3. In my Electronic Music courses at UFO Music we always include Caustic in training.
Caustic has a lot of potential and I will continue to use it.
I leave my IG.

Hey everyone!

Hi everyone,

My name is Isaiah and I'm currently living in Maryland.  Professionally, I worked in the U.S. Senate for the past five years and am currently a graduate student at Princeton University.  I've been happily married to my wife of five years, and we have a cute cat together.

I've used Caustic since the first app launched, and it's taught me what little I know of music production. My musical tastes are varied and diverse, and the music I produce reflects that. I just uploaded my first "album" entitled "Le Voyage" onto Soundcloud, and would appreciate any input or feedback you all may have.  The link can be found here: https://soundcloud.com/isaiahwonnenberg/sets/le-voyage.  The entire album was created on the Caustic 3 app, with additional samples that I found on the Google Play store - including some EI-P studios sample packs!

I've followed this forum for a number of years without posting, and have been so impressed with the quality of the Caustic tracks that I've heard. I'm really looking forward to getting to know you all and joining this community.

Best wishes,

Isaiah
