Caustic Song file (optional):
The PhatPulse is stereo and the Cutoff is Velocity Sensitive. One cool aspect is obviously that you can control the Cutoff of individual notes in a way that would be nightmarish to automate, with ease.
Another cool aspect is that every time you place an upper melody note you are essentially stealing from the bass which really makes it pop (you can achieve this with several other Caustic synths as well).
The looped section illustrates that fairly well.
Old hat to many but some might find it intersting.
Song is clearly early WIP but I thought I'd share some new toys. The RussianTik is something I created for a remake of "The Russians" by Sting.
I'll give it a listen, were you planning to attach the Caustic file?

I did attach the Caustic file. Then I realized that if over 200 people view a thread and no one takes the time to comment then either my contribution sucks or the dynamics in this forum are such that I no longer feel like participating.
I was really hoping that a small sense of community or some positive comaraderie might evolve if I put on the effort but I was sadly mistaken.
Best to you , James.

With a velocity sensitive keyboard (via midi) this technique can be really expressive for monosynths.
Your posts don't suck. Things are quieter around here than they used to be. Posts that are basically "hey, listen my stuff" don't get much traction. But techniques, tips and tricks like this one are usually well recieved. e.g. http://www.singlecellsoftware.com/node/17762

I love the really creative stuff that Paulovksi, Uncle AFX and you (Stoons) have been posting recently - it really felt as though there was a bit of energy on the forum again and that people were really pushing Caustic to the max and beyond.
Cool track too (and yes I'd really love the Caustic file)

Yes exactly what James and Edgey said.
This and the ultra low lfo thread are amazing stuff. It's great to see folks diving so deep.
Now if I could only understand it...
I wouldn't get annoyed if folks are viewing stuff but not posting responses, they might be like me - intending to check it out later but then swamped by real life shit.
Keep pushing the boundaries.
Caustic file attached to original post.

Just have to agree again, thanks for sharing all you have up until now. It IS unfortunate that people don't get the feedback they deserve and I say that knowing that I'm one of the worst offenders when it comes to not commenting. ( As for myself, I could go on and give excuses, but would any of them be accebtable?) Many other people have given up and moved on for the same reasons I'm sure, and I couldn't blame you if you did. Just don't be so quick to write it off as lack of interest. There's a lot fewer people around these days than there were even just a year ago and it's just kinda how it is
Now off to work I go....
thanks guys, I really appreciate the comments.

Real life often gets in the way with me, knocking out a quick response is easy, actually spending time listening to what's been done is a lot harder... I do sometimes wonder if having kids was the right thing to do....
