Here's a tuned version of the Choir AM. Think of it as a single instrument controlled via the Modsynth. Capable of some insane breathy, bright metallic textures among other things. Don't forget to play with the Osc waveform type. These hybrid synths are definitely where it's at. Haven't even started exploring what happens when you tweak the PCM at the same time...

Turn sounds into percussive anvils. Or not.

Freaky fact #1 - if you listen carefully to the Mod3, on the & of beat 3 you hear a major 3rd overtone and on the & of beat 4 it drops to a minor 3rd. A reverse Picardy Third no less. I should change the order of those two before my old college prof starts Far Siding me.

FWIW, the C# is a 4th order harmonic of the A note being played on the & of 3 and the C is, yeah, you guessed it, the 3rd order harmonic of the C note that follows.

Edit: if you listen to Arrythmia on my SoundCloud page (or look in Show and Tell) around the 1:20 mark you can hear secondary overtones come in. Mod3 is playing a 2 bar sequence.

If you count (capital ANDS are accents)
1 and 2 and 3 and 4 AND 1 AND 2 AND 3 AND 4 and

that gives you 4 accents. The overtones are min 3, min 3, min 3, min 7 (or Root depending on how you hear it). In a dark sounding sequence over minor or diminished chords? Yummy.

Beware of those peddling psychobabble. Maybe even me. Harmonics/overtones are usually your friends, not your enemies (standing waves, blatantly obvious resonant freq etc. excluded). Learn to understand the difference.

P.S. Forgot to mention, since the first two ModSynths share the same source you may find the interaction between them pretty cool.

For example, play Mod2 keyboard for a few secs. Switch to Mod1 keyboard for a few notes and then quickly back to Mod2.
