Just looking for someone to collaborate with for drum and bass.
I actually just so happen to work on two drum and bass project now. Here is one of them
And here is the other project
Lol, maybe jumping into a a collaboration wasn't such a good idea. Because I can't think of anything. Haha.
Just do anything really. Make a Drumstep part, edit the songs, alter the leads, create new patterns, you have endless possibilities, just do whatever you feel like with these projects. And even if it starts out getting horrible, most of my project often start horrendously bad, but I will just keep on making it better. And so if your changes sound bad, just improve them until they sound the way you like it. And remember, you don't learn from your success, you learn from your failures.
Thanks for the advice ^v^ . I put that to use.
I used an amen break loop, then layered that with some extra drums (tuned to be in pitch with the loop of course.) Then added some fitting bass, which took me forever to figure out how to make, despite it being so simple. Chose a piano key sample (PCM Synth), then layered that with an edited version of the KSSynth preset '12 STRING', then organised it all. And also used a bit of low pass on the main fx bus.
I know it's not much, but since this is a collab I needed to give you room to work with.
Feel free to make any changes, as my mind is open. :^)
Also it's a tad loud and uncompressed so it may scare you....Maybe...
Here is my take on it. I did change almost everything, but I am just messing around to see what works. (Ps I transposed the scale from A minor to C minor)
wow nice work
can I try something with it?
BTW I know it has been a while, but here is a project which any of you can mess around with
This project is wonderfull (im too scared to mess around around with it, so ill just give a review). I loved it, the sidechain with the Modular was a great idea. I would have liked some more global automation, but to see how you guys collaborated to make this masterpiece was great. This is awesome... <3
@Anime, you down to start a new project? i just finished one so im open, if so, ill shoot an idea over
Representing The SKUMMZ of the EARTH!!! From THE Valley 818.

Sorry for the late reply.
Thanks for the review. But I have say that you don't have to be afraid to mess around with it. I recomend you to mess with it as much as you can to see how it is made up, because that is how you learn.
Granted, when you mess with it you may get a sound that you do not like, or you might do something that you deem bad. But even if you make mistakes, you can still learn from it.
So good luck Anime
sooooooo i downloaded the tune and added some elements and and did a couple few thangs to bring a bit of that Junglist flavor we savor. ill polish a bit more and upload.......
as promised......Its interesting and im totally into it, and it could be something serious! lol anywayyyyyy https://clyp.it/yjmobivy Caustic file Below
I want to make breakbeat out of this @jthabrain I'll try something ^^
It is nice, but I would recommend thinking a bit more in terms of key signatures.
The modulations between keys are, well, a bit abrupt.
I would recommend thinking about if some sounds actually sound in key, because at certain points it sounded it sounded like it didn't belong in the key.
An example of what I am talking about would be the sfx that plays from bar 88, it just doesn't fit the current key.
I would also think about changing the sub bass (I have an example of what it could be in the file)
But all in all, great job. With some adjustment this can be perfect. ;)
excellent replyand critique, sir thanks for that. perhaps you would like to take the baton so to speak and make the adjustments as part of the collab, i dont mind adjusting the bass, or you can do that as part of your input as well. i would love for this tune to be perfected.
im super interested in how it will sound next!
@anime, omg im a huuuuge breaks fan. i would really dig hearing that, Id collab on it too !
Here is my "attempt" to improve your tune
I see what you mean, the whole song has a more cohesive feel, you smoothed outvthe rough edges and introduced some order to the chaos. Well done! i do wish the sub bass stood out a bit more tho.
