Update 9/17/22
I'm reviving this post because I wanted to say that I just completed the last track of a bunch all made in Caustic. It's progressive rock and was a lot of fun making it. I'm moving on to other apps, but I'll always use Caustic for making quick loops. Anyway, if any of my friends want to download the files with improved audio let me know and will post it online somewhere. Thanks for listening, and good luck to all!
Caustic changed the way I make music. It allowed me to go from the most simple synth noise to expansive soundscapes. In the past year or so, I experimented with sound, found tricks and left unintentional musical mistakes in my tracks that could only be made in Caustic. It's been quite a journey! Enjoy this playlist with a total play time of 56:03. It's in chronological order from older to newer.

To spyroks:
At first,I didn't want to reply because it was too complicated and too difficult. But your music is amazing.First,I need to say,I just can speek a little English. So this is what I do with the help of translation software. Maybe the syntax will be a little wrong. But it's okay to understand my approximate meaning.
I used to be more exposed to pop music in my life. And the quality of the music that is accessible is becoming more and more general. It caused me to lose hope in music.
But when I listened to your album, It opened up my perception of music. Music turns out to have a lot of possibilities. It's amazing. If you want you to, you can swim in the music.
Now I find that music turns out to be so powerful. Thank you for continuing to share your creations in this forum when it's already cold. Because I only heard about this forum yesterday. I was lucky enough to meet you and send this post when I happened to be using the software. This move of yours has changed my understanding of music.
I can't go to your website in this part of my area. I was able to listen to your album because I found a website that could receive listening to music through the album Chain you shared. In other words, I can't see the list of music you put on top of SoundCloud and include the home page. I can only listen through a shared link to a single song or a link to the entire album.
So may I ask you, do you have any other albums or singles? Can you share some links to me? I want to receive more possibilities for this type of music in order to plan my future direction and diversity of ideas on the music path.
Or do you have any other people's excellent music links to share a bit. I'm sorry, but I can only receive music from your area from the sharing chain of SoundCloud, the only website. So if it's YouTube or any other music site, I can't open it.
Thanks again, a reply from a faraway place.
Hi caustic777, and welcome to the forum! Here, you'll find great info, techniques and music shared by very talented people! First of all, I have to say I'm genuinely flattered by your comments! Thank you! It makes me happy when music speaks to someone from a "faraway place", as you said, shows that music has no boundaries. And for a non-English speaking person you did a pretty good job saying what you feel. I am sorry to hear about the limitations of the links in your country, and that it's difficult for you to access all the tracks on the Soundcloud page. I do have a few more songs posted there that were made before I started using Caustic, and the styles vary. The playlist I posted includes all the Progressive Rock tracks I made, it's a style that combines Classical, Rock and Jazz elements and its origin is back in the 70s. You can try and search for artists that have made incredible Prog (short for Progressive), like Genesis (my favorite), Yes, ELP and many more so you can get more ideas about this kind of music. I still get inspired by this genre, as it can indeed make you "swim" in it. Now, as you said, you can't access YouTube which is where most of the music is. Maybe you can search on Soundcloud for this genre and see what you get. If searching isn't an option, I can definitely do that for you and post a few links here. Again, thank you for your kind words, enjoy making music in Caustic and good luck to you

Thank you for your reply. I will search the Internet for information about some of the keywords you mentioned above. I am glad that my knowledge of English, which I learned a long time ago and has not been used for a long time, has not been completely forgotten.
What a strict English teacher has foresight! So that now we can communicate without obstacles.Ha-ha,just a joke. Advances in technology make life more convenient. Then I just need a simple review of the translation results of the software. And it's the same, so we can have professional software like cuastic on Android. Of course, this must first exist with an Android type of operating system.Ha-ha, maybe this will be my second bad joke.
Most of the foreign countries with formal music companies or famous singers can be searched here. But it still depends on whether the domestic music platform can win the copyright.
The word"genesis"you mentioned earlie, is it a band? If it is, I can search for it. The word" Emerson, Lake & Palmer"you mentioned earlie, is it also a band? Thank you for your recommendation, I like it very much. There's so much music around, this type is almost unattended. This music reminds me of a very old band,it's called "Sopor Aeternus." Have you ever heard of it? The lyrics, song style are somewhat similar in style, like"Tarkus".There's only one person in this band. And I think its name is similar to your forum nickname. There are four identical letters"S,O,P,R". But his songs are not suitable for playing in public places, or for sharing them with people around them. I think he's very talented. I have more ideas about him, and I don't describe them in detail here for a while.
Do you have any other music on YouTube or other music platforms? I'm going to try and listen. It might be possible to succeed.
I listen to your songs over and over again. I think they're spiritual and powerful. I didn't expect to be able to make music that was so high quality on the caustic. And I noticed some details. Like the "kites",the 4:20 place of this song. How did this coherent sound get done? Which synthesizer is it for? Which means there's no obvious dividing line between its pitch and its pitch. In the same way, it's as coherent as a person's voice. Of course, I have a lot of other software technical doubts, but if I ask, it's too much trouble for you. So I asked this one. Is this easy to describe? I want to learn this technique by caustic to finish some music. I asked people around me, and some said no.
I've tried the feature of the"glide" on the Pcmsynth. But the nature of sound will change.
And I tried this feature of recording the pitch button, on the subsynth, and then go into the window of the " pattern-automated controls " to do some of the corresponding actions.
But while it's coherent, it seems like it's hard to debug the pitch you want to change.
And it doesn't seem like all the sound sources can do this.
I just used this kind of music- making software for about a week. So I want to ask you how you did it, as long as the music is unified, even if it changes the original nature of the sound.
It took one hours to write this essay. I didn't think it would take so long… Thank you for reading.
In the end, I'll tell one more bad joke, that is
…I don't have an English name,so I don't know who I am.
For what it's worth, if Caustic changed the way you make music, your music definitely challenges the way I use Caustic :-)
I admire the richness, complexity and coherence of your arrangements. In particular the drums, which you really make sound "played".
Excellent from start to end, thanks for sharing.
cheers,
Aldo
Hi Caustic777 and thanks again for your nice words. Sometimes any joke is good, I feel that if people didn't take themselves too seriously, things would be so much easier for everybody. I personally like anything from silly to...sillier. Now on a more serious note, I'll try to answer your questions. Genesis (my favorite albums by them are "Selling England by the Pound" and "The Lamb lies down on Broadway) is a band, as is Emerson, Lake and Palmer, and Yes. Some other progressive rock bands that might interest you are King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Rush, Camel and many more, including some more modern bands. I personally like Genesis the most, as they combine romantic themes and odd and complex rhythms. Now, I didn't know about Sopor, now I do. Pretty intense stuff. I don't have much music posted online, except on my Soundcloud profile. Aside from the playlist I posted here, there's a handfull of other tracks/genres I worked on in the past few years on the same page on Soundcloud.
About how I did things on Caustic, particularly on those 9 tracks, I feel that it'd be easier if I shared a .caustic file so you can see and take the time to explore. I am attaching the "Kites" caustic file for you. It was quite large so I had to combine the left and right piano into one track and use a smaller and lesser quality SFZ file, same with the power guitar, a smaller and lesser quality SFZ file so I could bring the size down to under 80mb, the limit for uploading a .caustic file. I had to remove a few sounds though, so it will not sound as full. If you want to get a more complete sound, find a 12 string guitar soundfont/SFZ. Also online you can find Mellotron strings and Mellotron choir soundfonts/SFZ files. I feel though that even as is, you will be able to see/hear how I did certain things. I hope I was able to answer your questions. Have fun with Caustic!

Thank you Aldo! I appreciate your thoughts and comments! I also appreciate people
that push the agenda and aren't afraid to explore possibilities. I like many different styles of music, each has its place in the vastness of sound. One guilty pleasure of mine is to "hear" the technical part of things done in Caustic that blows me away, each and every time. Recently, one of your tracks did that for me :) And yeah, bring on the distortion!!
(Note to self: Comment more often to those quite amazing tracks people post here!).

Thank you. I'll listen to your recommended music. That's true ,even that's enough to find out how that part works. I've already downloaded it. And has successfully shipped it on the caustic. It turned out to be flexible to use the "glide". But I'm also going to follow your prompts to find the more high-quality sound sources. Maybe I'll be able to use it later.
Let me put it simply, the Sopor, a band with only one member. The previous year and this year it was still out of the entity's new album. Everything was done by him on his own. Initially, he couldn't afford a device and could only create it in his brain. His musical journey is as bumpy as his life. Of course, now he's still poor for a simple reason. He's very serious in music. He's a musician in Germany. At the same time, he's a singer. Some of his music is played with pure instruments.
He combines classical music with pop music. His music skills are very deep. Some of his lyrics are some of the modern poems he adapted from others.
My personal view of him is that he is praising the light from another angle. This should be counted as a contrasting expression.
And he creates music in a different way than most people. I've tried to explore his unique way of creating by analyzing his work. It's a way to get close to the bottom of the heart.
I recommend you a few tunes, and I'll write the title here. He has a very large number of music and a lot of style, not just the style of the first few in the rankings. I listed more about his pure musical instrument playing music.
These are pure music.
+The Conqueror Worm II (Instrumental)( This one's my favorite.
)
+In der Palstra+
+Night Of The Scarecrow+
+Harvest Moon (Cornflowers II)+
+Eldorado+ He sang this song. The lyrics of this song are a poem. He's got a good combination of music.
Maybe this type of music will help you. Even in the future, you can combine it into music,If you're interested.
Thanks again for taking the time out of your busy schedule to answer.
caustic777.
Thanks for the recommendations Caustic777! I heard a few of the tracks and find them very interesting and the videos to match! What I like is how some artists just stand out and dare to be vastly different than anyone else. Unfortunately, even though they are mentioned in history, the music itself can not sustain them simply because it's not made for the masses, so it takes some kind of "extra" to stay afloat. But those with an eclectic taste are of course rewarded by listening to something that's different and may change their world profoundly. You are very welcome, I'm glad you were able to download the caustic file and find out what you wanted to know. I believe if you find sounds that you like, then the music will come easier.. I also recomend to go through this forum for other ideas and sounds, even files with examples on how to do more technical/experimental stuff! And of course, feel free to ask any question, I'm pretty sure you'll get answers

Thank you. As you said, I do have to find more technical information and more music styles in the forum, like the music in the files in this link. I love the melody of this song. Its style is rock and roll. Maybe you'll like it. http://www.singlecellsoftware.com/node/16387
Sometimes, I also go to other places to listen to songs in my free time. Like the two songs below.
The composer of this song is a Japanese. His name is Wada Kaoru. It's a business song, written for a game. I rarely listen to songs of this kind. When I first listened, I realized it was a good piece of work. After that, I appreciated the song over and over again, and tried to understand its artistic conception. Maybe you'll be like me, never heard of this type of song. Its name is +The song of the Four Seasons+. This is the link, do you need a translation of this song?https://youtu.be/PnmLhuBAmmM
The singer of this song is Hanazawa Kana. When I first listened to this song, I just thought it was cute. This video came after the song became famous. A few years later, when I looked at this video, I found its loveliness doubled. At the same time, I'm aware of more of a form of musical expression. This video will make people smile, it conveys happiness. This is the link, do you need a translation of this song?https://youtu.be/BnsKLD1PjoU
Because the lyrics are long, I can post them in the reply below if you need them.
Actually, I know this software was a long time ago. But I never had time to use it. It's the same thing now, I'm just free for a little while. Maybe in the future I will free up more time after work to carry out a comprehensive study.
You're friendly, and I can feel that from your music. Thank you for your patient reply.

Thanks for the links. I checked the artists, good to know about them.
