Kssynth, default or harp preset, one or both oscillators octaves at lowest setting, lowest or near-lowest note on keyboard: metallic, hard-to-describe sound
8-bit synth: randomising presents numerous times and saving favoured sounds as new presets (name usually formatted like "*name of preset before randomizing* *number or descriptor*")
@LG-AU - It seems this would have a couple of obvious uses:
If the pattern is relaxing, if would be great for a long relaxation/meditation mix.
If the pattern is upbeat, it would serve well as a basis for DJing a party, then your base pattern would change as the party goes on, making it more dynamic.
Using a software like Recycle to Export each drum hit of a Breakbeat as a wav file. Then importing each of those hits into beatbox, and replaying the break at your desired tempo while adding variations to said break. This process can also be used on multiple breaks in order to layer breaks on top of one another, for that tru Junglist Chopped Break vibe. Did this is in my latest track, "At it Again"
Representing The SKUMMZ of the EARTH!!! From THE Valley 818.
(maybe-obvious one - automation!)
Automating cut-off in bassline in a loop (i.e. in pattern not sequencer mode)
Automating decay of a hit in beatbox
8-bit synth: randomising presents numerous times and saving favoured sounds as new presets (name usually formatted like "*name of preset before randomizing* *number or descriptor*")
Hitting record and improvising on on-screen keyboard
Editing after optional (leads to next post)
Copying a pattern that sounds good, adding to a blank pattern, then editing this copied version
Can repeat process or do other things
Creating rhythmic delay by using a delay in fx channel and mix-to-master delay together
Distorted drum loops:
808 beatbox preset
Distortion and/or bitcrusher
High tempo, sometimes half-timed
