It has come to my attention, that some folk insist on calling their own stuff ''sick'' and other things best left to egotistic would be pop acts (mainly of the urban bling-bling ''iz it coz i iz black?'' variety of white people, and so on, and who'd usually include loads of tarty females, and cars in their videos to make out they are already famous twallopers , thereby twisting young dudes heads even further...lol) honestly, however trashy, or sorted your stuff is, LEAVE IT TO OTHERS to decide whether it is ''sick'' or ''genius, or etc...... good blimmin GRIEF!
goodness.... i learned this one in my mid teens!
ye gorra larf!
TOP TIP for Show And Tell #1 Do not call your own tune ''sick'', or in any other similar way give rise to being called a TWALLY
well said.

The show and tell forum is a bit depressing these days, back in the day when this site was much smaller there was so much interaction between members there, no "FREE DOWNLOAD" titles... That said, I can't really complain as I rarely have the time to go through the tracks in there and comment.

I hear ya. It's a bit self serving these days, I try no to to get too bummed over the state of the show and tell forums tho, because one thing that hasn't changed is the fact that this app is amazing And we all still love it!

If it is used ironically I don't see a problem.
Cool. Language Police in an international forum.

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there is a big difference between a tip and setting up Police. Especially when the discussion is quite within the realm of humor.
@The Lord
Perhaps you should extend the same line of thought towards my comment, whether you appreciate the attempt at humour or not. Thanks.

So is my latest post in show and tell acceptable saying "Crystal - dance / trance / electronica / who really knows?!"... I'm concerned that me I've added both a question mark and exclamation mark at the end which might be seen as "over pimping"

Sick
@SToons They say a good humor is all in the setup.
@RobFarly
Is it "over pimping"?
Sort of, but I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you.
It is "over pimping" solely because a punctuation could have been used without much meaning being lost, and it would have made you seem much more professional, but I would not worry about it if I were you.
You clearly show that you care about not "over pimping" yourself, and that is a feat in of itself.
Instead, the main point of the og post was to not describe your music with adjectives like good, amazing, sick or etc because music is extremely subjective and varies a lot from person to person.
If you do use certain adjectives you can come of as quite egoistic and selfish (as the og post describes in not the best manner possible).
I think you misunderstood the og post, but don't sweat it. Relax.
Nice advice. I believe that all artists have that psycho moment where they witness how good caustic can be, or how good they can be. You will never know.
But you can try to call your tune evil for the change. If you consider to present your track or your work check those likes on SoundCloud and post your most played and most liked song. You will be supportive to yourself that way, and your song and your pride will not get injured or sick in the process.
