If you shorten the envelope

If you shorten the envelope 'release' times, it'll go away. You're running out of polyphony, and you're hearing note stealing.

The polyphonic machines have

The polyphonic machines have a maximum of eight voices. If you set a long 'release' time on the envelope generators, then it doesn't take long to use that polyphony up. You're playing new notes, as, previous, notes are, still, trying to play. The moment you exceed that, eight voice, maximum, one, or more, of the, currently playing (because you've set a long release time), voices have to, immediately, stop. And that's causing the clicks.

And what about monophonic

And what about monophonic machines ? Is it opposite ?That is if release time is zero and attack is fast it can cause this pop sound.
Am I right?

Any envelope generators, in a

Any envelope generators, in a, monophonic, synth will trigger every time you play a note, regardless of any settings. A couple of the Modsynth's envelope generators have 'leggato' mode to get round this issue (not that it always is an issue). In that mode, EGs don't retrigger unless there's a gap between notes.
