Export quality not matching what I hear

Hi everyone, I noticed that when I export a song (stereo mixdown) in 16 or 32 bit, it does not sound the same as if I listen to it by playing it in the caustic app. In caustic it sounds great, bright and rich. Upon export it is not as crisp, not as dynamic, and much of the overall sound seems to be poorly rendered. Has anyone else noticed this? Is exporting it a different way any better? Or do I have to press play and record the output directly without caustic rendering the wave file?

Your thoughts and comments are appreciated.

I just wondered if you were listening to the exported WAV file through a particular app directly or listening to it streaming from Soundcloud or some other service.  I've never experienced what you describe. I'm not sure it can be mathematically possible for the exported file to be that different.  I certainly have heard a lot of improvement after running a Caustic-produced track through Caustic Mastering, though.  If you aren't happy with the Caustic export, try running it through Mastering.

How are your listening volumes?
Even very minor differences in volume will affect percieved sound quality.

Volume is the same. If I get some free time soon, I will upload a song file and you can try it.
