However, I wish I didn't have to, because I think the sound itself sounded better with the stereo delay already coming out of the modular (as opposed to using the 'width' control in the mixer board). I wish that at least one of the modular delays would've allowed the sound to trigger in the 'ON' or 'PLAY' state at the start of the measure, instead of starting with the delay, then playing the note, know what I mean?

We did this jam this way partially to learn more about the Modular synth, and that seems to be working well.
does the no automation rule apply to the one FX slot we are free to use? not that I have a specific idea as of yet, I just know that I often end up automating the begeezus out of certain fx plug ins, so I figured it was prudent to ask before I brainstorm (seems I have awhile either way,)

Thanks I was it was shooting for unconventional. I had it tuned to sound like a robot panther, it was wicked. Then a few patch changes an knob tweaks later It was lost. As you may notice by the preset name, its itteration 5.
sound synthesis is a notoriously harsh mistress in that regard, I am pretty sure I have spent a thousand hours deadend fiddling with the modsynth since 3.0 dropped, its easy to just get lost back there, lol
Your modular setup is awesome: Note ON --> Waveform --> Decay --> Rate --> Sound OUT. BAM! No funny business, just clean sound.
I put 3 Oscilloscopes in there (partly just because there was enough room to do it :-), and assigned an OUT along each step of the way to a different scope. Pretty interesting to me to watch the waveform develop at the different stages.
This is getting interesting and I think the process who want to do the 15 position have a hard job. It will be an entertaining balance level automation and media management and low sounds.
Damnit, I was hoping to keep the furious progress of this thing going by getting my bit done in less than a day but sadly this just ain't gonna happen. Anyway, I've built my Mod synth and made a start and will update on my progress again sometime tomorrow. Really loving the work done on the first 5 slots, it's gonna be a tall order to keep the standard high.
I 2nd that, even though I am eager to contribute to the cacophony, we each get three days, and I figure that if you feel you need em,yoummight as well use em. Good luck!

for the first month caustic 3 was out I watched dancing oscilloscopes constantly, such a great module/educational tool.
