My mission to finish off some more stems and to clear the decks continues...
I started this in February, when I was feeling under the weather for weeks - lethargic, tired but never really actually getting 'ill'.
Not sure if that's why it ended up sounding quirky, happy and kinda fun but I think it has done.
It's Spring here now so this is an end of Winter/beginning of Spring tune
If you don't mind... I feel the urge to remove the heart of this song and turn it into something that might be sang by pop legends '2 unlimited' ... Or something.
I like what you've done... But... I duuno... Its lacking a certain high energy gay disco vibe.
Stay tuned... This is probably going to get ugly...

yeah, thats whats this needs, a "high energy gay disco vibe"...lol....i cant wait to hear that.
quirky & happy is a good discription...it reminds me of a cute kids video game.
Thanks Dan, it does have an accidental 8 bit vibe, imo. Looking forward to Rob's interpretation :D

It has something vaguely resembling a song structure too, which is pretty unusual for me ;)

Oh yeah! This is great James. I love silly happy tunes, not good at making them myself though. I hear a lot of Wardini influences in this one, I think the Wardinians is trying to invade the earth by brainwashing us all. When we all run around singing silly tunes unable to defend ourselves they simply take over the planet and enslave us all ;D
A bit of monkeying about...

I love the insistent Chemical Brothers style bass, arping panned synths and perc...they create a huge amount of an energy.
Maybe we should try and create a piece or two as joint venture? I really think our core styles are similar but different enough to make it interesting

This is very catchy and quirky James! Sort of reminds me of early orbital vibes.
I know what you mean, probably more 'Yellow Album' than anything after...

I may have beat it to a pulp. Apologies in advance.

Yup, I think prolonged exposure to Wardini is having a subliminal effect. I'm probably broadcasting a signal to the mothership every time someone plays this.
Although I tend to think that Wardini and his race are benign, so maybe the invasion will be a good thing

This is really good (the original, haven't listened to remixes yet) and sounds quite like one of the tracks from LFO's 1st album... which is pretty amazing from a phone app isn't it! Nice work.
Thanks FPC, that's a massive compliment. Their first and second albums are amazing, the title track of the 2nd 'Advance' is an amazing, euphoric groove. I've just found out now that a 3rd album, called Stealth, came out in 2003. Will have to investigate
Mark Bell from LFO had a project called Speedjack that released a few amazing records on R&S Records too.

James this is frequey! (some sort of pun there!)
I spent years calling this album "Stealth"... but a couple of years ago I noticed it was actually called "Sheath". Isn't it? Now I think I'm going mad 'cos you've started calling it Stealth again!
Sorry! I misread it on Discogs
Maybe my subconscious thought 'Stealth' was a much more appropriate name for an electronica type album
