Updated 10/3/2014: Completed the composition. Even added 4 measures of neo classical. Please let me know if anything sounds 'unfinished' in this mix. Thank you!
-------------------------------
Let me know what you think of this work in progress. I dunno what it is, but it makes me happy.
I've incorporated (or rather, mashed together) elecments of Trance, Dance, Dubstep, and melodic electronic music.
I like it. Can't wait to hear it when its finished. It has a happy tune to it:)
Thank you Sky, I'm looking forward to enjoying it in a completed state as well.
You know, that's kind of the fun part about composing; not always knowing where things will end up when you get that feeling of "it's done". :-)

Sounds very interesting, lots of things going on in there. Really cool sounds you use too, looking forward to hear the finished track :).
Thank you Pan.
One thing I wish I could figure out is how to get more treble out of the dubstep sound (Modular preset 'autodub'). There are 2 single slots left in that machine, I'm going to try and play around with it so the wubwubwub is a little more crisp. Already have the treble maxed out on the mixer for it too.

Have you tried to cut out the low-end with a high pass filter? I bet that will do the trick for you ;)
If you're out of fx slots you can use the state variable filter in the modular itself. Take a look in the example I attached.
Caustic Song file (optional):
That's a good idea, I'll give it a try. Thank you.

I'm listening to this in a busy coffee shop with a really crappy pair of headphones and it sounds great! Good work CR.

Sounds great, but what am I taking?
Thanks MFG, but not understanding the 'taking' question.

Haven't listened yet, but just want to say: If you think it's your best yet, then it's your best yet. Who's better qualified to judge your music?
(for one thing, I'd have to listen to everything you've done previously, in order to even have an opinion on the matter.)
That's a good point. And I'm not expecting that anyone should go through my library to do that.
I will change the post title with respect to that. :-)

All the sounds were either included with Caustic (and I modified them), or something I got from the community around here (which I further modified). And all sounds, except 2 of the 3 drum kits had effects on them.
The bass guitar sound was the 'Dirty Bass' patch, low-passed & modified, and also gated with the main drum line.

Thank you bojeroo. This was one of those tracks where I was just 'in the zone' and everything fell into place really well. (love it when that happens)
