This is my cheezy track for Andy... Started with a few loops and some voice samples. Then I added on...
I know it's been a while, but I don't have much time for this stuff. This was done on my bus rides to and from work... Everything in Cautic on headphones. Last night I adjusted levels on my monitors. Not sure how good the mix is, I keep changing my mind depending on what I use to listen to the track... Arg!
Don't know if it's cheezy, but I like it. My cat too.
Maybe it's "catsy"...
Cool retro cheesy feel. Nice work
cool...where did you find those vocal samples?
Nice retro groove! This is straight out of Club Viper circa 1993... I really wish I had that "ahhh" vocal sample. Where did you get these clips?

Well I’m certainly no expert on this genre but I hear nothing cheesy with it. Really good sounds and mix.
Thanks for all the nice comments... much appreciated. I'm very thankful for Caustic and this community... I wish I had more time to listen to other's tracks. Seems that when I have a little time, I go into create mode. Soon I'll be riding my bicycle again, so more time for listening!
I kept the cheesy label mostly because I started the song when Andy came up with the cheese challenge... I don't think it's that cheesy but my wife says it is. It's probably the "push" and "don't stop" in association with "ahhh" samples.
About the samples, I'm not quite sure where they came from, but I'm almost positive that I got them in the last few months. I'll try to figure out where I got them and share that... Or I can share the samples themselves. I have almost 30 gigs of free samples that I have accumulated over the last 3 or 4 years. I had no idea it was that much.
its kinda hard to find good vocal samples...any help would be much appreciated ;)
Hmm, been there done that. I had 4 free slots in the beatbox for my Tiwanaku song so I thought ‘hey why not put some voices there’. I spent a whole day scanning internet for sounds that would do. Well there’s lots of paid packs out there but why would I get 4 gig of samples (and pay for it) when I only need 4 samples. Even if I would buy such pack I wouldn’t know if the samples I needed was included until after I paid and downloaded the whole thing. Wonder if they sell any of those packs at all?
I didn’t find the exact sounds I wanted but did find decent ones. Two of them was from different sites that I don’t recall but I did find this site that looks promising...

You will need to register but there’s lots of loops and singelhits in there and they got a decent search engine to help you find what you need.
Hmm, a whole day for just 4 crappy samples, no wonder I like the Subsynth so much. I just picture the sound I want and within minutes I’m set to go.
thanks for the link...i like the subsynth to, i try to incorporate at least one subsynth sound in everything i do....but my sensibilities are such that i like to have a mixture of samples and synthesis...and a great vocal sample can really make a track sparkle.
Yes, especially if that sample is "I've got the power!" from C+C Music Factory. JK haha lol

I get most of my samples thanks to Bedroom Producer Blog...
Got the "ahhh", "don't stop" and "you're free" samples from Black Octopus "Siren by Veela" free demo pack. at the link below.

Looks like Black Octopus recently released a new vocal pack called "Cory Friesenhan Vocal Sessions Volume 1", including a free demo pack... I haven't listen to it yet. See link below.

The "push" sample came from Attack magazine, the pack is called "Hy2rogen". See link below.

Always check for other free samples when you go to a website to get a pack...
Keep an eye on BPB for free samples and also free VST plugins, in case you want to create your own samples and loops. I like the free version of MuLab. It is a good VST host. The free version has up to 4 tracks available, that's more than enough for making your own.
