Here's some stuff I know might be useful that is either buried deep in the manual or maybe not there at all:
Default Rack: By default, Caustic starts every new song with a certain machine selection, the default machines from Caustic 1. If you find yourself swapping out machines to the same set for every new song, here's a tip that will save you a few taps:
- Start a new song
- Place the machines you want to use as your new default
- Save the "song" as "defaultrack" (without quotes of course)
Now, every time you press "new song" it will effectively load that one automatically. You can even store patterns and loaded samples if that saves you time. If you want to change it back to default behavior, just delete the "defaultrack" song.
Playbook/BB10 bug: You'll have to rename the file to lower-case letters as the code looks for "defaultrack.caustic" but the file gets saved as "DEFAULTRACK.caustic". Do this by connecting your playbook/BB10 device to a PC via USB.
