ive been working on this track and have hit a dead end, i cant get the automation right, or the mix, and i cant finnish it, so i decided to give up the caustic file for anyone to play with...it has some unused parts and used samples, there are some tweaked presets that belong to some of you....just let me know if you make something cool with it.
You must have spent some serious time on the FX Pcm synth too. Having a play, will bounce the file back if I get anywhere.

great, would love to see what you can do with itit
Okay, I'm about halfway through. Should be able to upload a new file tomorrow and the audio if it's okay to share that with everyone too. I really enjoyed enjoyed it, a fascinating experience.

Wait until you hear it! Don't get too excited.

lol, it'll be fun regardless.
Ok I'll peek at it later tonight...
Do you have a Souncloud account Dan? If I upload the audio could I link back to your profile? I'll call the file something that makes it clear that it's a remix though. Off to work now, back in about 10 hours :(

i do have a sound cloud account. i have some tracks listed on this site you can get my profile off of the soundcloud widget..(im on my way out the door)
Wow really good source material for someone to tinker with. So interesting to see how you've put this together. Looking forward to hearing remixes / reworkings of this tune. Only wish I had the time to give it a go myself.
Wow, that was fun :D I've not finished but thought I'd get a rough version up and out there. There's no automation yet, some levels need balancing and it's a little short. Probably needs to be at least 5 minutes to get the groove.
new version is now further down the thread
I tried to take the tune away from the source arrangement as far I could without writing lots of new parts.
If this was a dance single on 12" vinyl from the 90's this is my attempt at the Deep House Club Dub of the lead tune on the B side.

I'd like to say a huge thank you to Danjdob for the opportunity.

wow that was really great, i love it...im glad you did something cool with those yet unused vocal samples. i was at a loss how to deal with them because they are kind of dirty.
I'm glad you liked it, still very much a work in progress. I've changed the sub synth filters since I uploaded it, didn't like the settings I'd chosen for the version I've exported. There is too much distortion on the voice too. The weirdest thing is that I can't find the cooing female sample or the occasional sound wash in any of your patterns in order to remove them. So I've just them left them in

i put some of those notes in the main sequencer note editor....theres a button on the top left that switches to the sequencer note editor...you tap the machine name on top right to switch machines.
but i think they work anyway in your mix.
for obvious reasons i named it " say nothing girl" theres alot of sing songy-ness in my original but she never says anything interesting...lol
Did you create the sample set yourself? I.e mike up a friend?

no most are junk samples i downloaded off the net, "the power is in the music, the music is in the soul" was created using the text to speech app one of the guys on here made for android... i fiddled with it to get it close to the tone of the other vocal samples. ive since replaced them with "close your eyes and fly" and "breath" which better suits an ambient trance direction i intend on going with it.
I like the fact that I reckon 90% of the track was made using your patterns and yet it sounds almost completely different.

yeah its awsome, i can hear my parts in there, but you totally made it your own.
should be fun to hear what jblann does with it...i hope he finds the time.
I've got a tune in a similar state, one I really like the kernel of but just can't nail down an arrangement for. May post it here and see if someone wants to have a go
I started it at least 12 weeks ago and haven't got anywhere for the last 3 or 4 of them.

cool, i might give it a shot, but ill probably destroy it..lol
He he yeah right, after tinkering with the Caustic file for 'Say Nothing..' and seeing what you do, I doubt you'd destroy it

I N T E R I M / 0 2 (the mixtape) / i02 ep soon
wow, cool, thats a totally different aproach, im looking forward to hearing how you evolve it further.
thank you danjdob for this cool track. it is really inspiring to do some experiments with this track .
greetings winu

this is an edit of my original track,
Hahaha wow... that's a unique sidestep from the OP's original tune.... Quite a diverse group of imagination we have here.
DanJob.... nice remix..... all of these remixes are soooo differnet. Good thread...
thanks, its cool to see other people's perspective using the same source material.
I'll upload a more polished version of my rmx in the next day or two, I smoothed some sounds (I used a really shitty subsynth patch on the version I uploaded) and need to add some automation to give the mix some life.

cool, cant wait to hear it
I ran out of steam - sorry! But I did record a new mix with some automation and a better subsynth sound. My attention to detail is none too great at the moment.

i like it, but like you mentioned the drums are not forward in the mix.
