Hey there, this is my first song id call a success with caustic :D
I didnt use any effects cause i really dont get along with them at the moment.
Whatever, i wanted to share this track with you guys to see what you think about it. Maybe you got some ideas how to make it sound better as i cant really handle all those settings.

Yea i think i just need to

Yea i think i just need to practice a lot. Be sure, ill never stop as long as i get positive/constructive feedback ;)

Another one i wanted to share is this small piece with violins. I tried to create an Orchestra and i was supprised, because after i played round with the attack wheel it sounded way better than i thought it could.

Ofc its no real track but a small play round. I needed to split those into 3 different lines because it wasnt able to play them correctly if there are too many notes in one line.
Im already on to make a real song out of it, but it seems like it will end up in the same style as the first one did

Liking it - although I'm sure

Liking it - although I'm sure last time I checked delay and reverb were effects cheeky

wink

Enjoying the mix between classical, European folk melodies and electronica smiley Really accomplished from a musical perspective, I'm guessing you play a traditional instrument?

Effects seem to work best as subtle shading or extreme sound modification, finding my way with these too. Distortion on synths and Drum machines for added crunch works a treat.

Would love to know where you got the string and/or orchestral samples from. Are they from a content pack or self made?

Nice arrangement and smooth

Nice arrangement and smooth sound.   Good use of Stereo Reverb and Delay to build a nice depth and spread of your string type sounds..... You're learning fast.  Look out  lol.  cool

Loved them both! Very

Loved them both! Very accomplished musically, and I loved the string and organ(?) sounds in the main track. I look forward to hearing more, welcome aboard!

Ye ofc youre right, reverb

Ye ofc youre right, reverb and delay are effekts too, but theyre one of the easyest ones. Thats always the first thing i do after opening a new project: zoom out, turn up delay to the half, reverb up to a quater, enable stereo for both :D

The sample that sounds like an organ is just the default preset of the subsynth with stereo delay and reverb on. I used them to make the melody and wanted to change it later but i realized theres no change needed (troll :D ). The strings are the usual pcmsynth strings witch are integrated in caustic, just the “attack“ wheel was turned down to a quater (see in “orchestra.caustic“ file below)

And yea youre right, my brother played the violin once so i often listened and learnd from it.
I played contrabass once, the changed to the harp (where i still invent my ideas i convert to caustic) and during the last 10 years i learned a bit of guitar and piano. Im not great with those, but its okay ^^

If any1 is interested in this orchestra track:

Feel free to use, change it or make it awesome ^^

Thanks for the welcoming and the great feedback. :)
Just one last thing to warn you: my english isnt allways the best. Still working on it :D
