* Piranha (TRAP)

Decided to go with Trap this time!;)

I will also be focusing more on this particular genre...
I started this song a while back ago and I decided to stick with the original sounds and didn't add any of the new effects or sawsynth...
Let me know what you think and feel free to ask any questions;)

Is it venomous or just plain unforgivably savage?

Listened 3 times so far...

Listened 3 times so far...  each time I discovered something new... I like the individual modeled sounds and their bendings. The male voice fits perfect too.

Nicely done. Not a fan of

Nicely done. Not a fan of trap but the textures are fantastic. Love the lift. And the slightly ethnic feel to the melody. Good job

Thanks Alexei!

Thanks Alexei!
I didn't do much with the artwork itself...a friend sent me the original photo/artwork and I only added the caption. Looks very clean right?;)

Cleaner than a joke on

Cleaner than a joke on children's hour. They should do a Mario movie again with new special effects. Could look like your artwork lol. What the hell, they made Pixels, which is awesome :-D

Same as above dude.........not a fan of trap but..............the clarity, punch & depth of the track is fucking amazing m8........the width of the track is a whole other story......sooooooo, 10 out of 10 for production & mastering dude! Would love to see more melodies in future tracks from yourself tho. Is this the M50's at work dude?

Thanks a lot guys!

Thanks a lot guys!
I can imagine a brand new Super Mario game that looks exactly alike the artwork! Imagine how realistic that would be!!:D
Thanks Danny for the 10/10 rank!;)

I'm actually using audiomagic ear buds for the arrangements and volume of the sounds then I switch to the M50s for the mastering and volume..a perfect combination;)

Btw..I also used photo studio for the artwork/caption.
Giving props to Danny Houston..;)

I didn't think I liked trap

I didn't think I liked trap either, but maybe that is because I never heard trap done this well.  Congrats on possibly converting me. :P

It's great! What I like is

It's great! What I like is all of the empty space. Almost, if you will, minimalistic. Most trap, that I've heard, is too much of a din for me to appreciate. And, yes, I know that my music is nonstop and loud. Also, one thing I do like about trap are the change-ups. They're dramatic and melodic. Yet hold the original feel of the song. They're not easy to do. And, I've been working on a couple of songs that do just that. More like around ten songs. (What? *shrugs*) One trick I love using is putting a stereo delay effect onto a snare & hat only beatbox, lowering the delay time all the way, (drumroll.....) flicking the time up 2-3 notches for just a second, and back down. That would work great, for one of those mid-track peak breaks, with the trap drum kit. The kicks turn to snares, and the snares to hats, at higher octaves. That kit is one of my favorites. There's usually foldback distortion & a maxed out cabinet simulator attatched. Also, again for a crazy change-up, I love using a bit crusher with no jitter & maxed everything else. Instead of dropping the beat; drop the rate. It reminds me of an acid peak.

Again, great track. I really do appreciate it and don't even care for trap.

Thanks a lot lord_bondslave I

Thanks a lot lord_bondslave I guess that's my point here...make a similar style but unique and catchy at the same time;)

Thanks Andyland! I wasn't expecting you to like my trap and I apologize...;p
You've also got a nice structure format when making your own sounds...I also like the bitcrusher effect a lot! In fact I'm adding this effect to another trap beat I'm working on atm;)
It would be awesome to hear a trap beat from you! Something very dark and catchy!;D

It's not trap. But, it is

It's not trap. But, it is some Andyland hip-hop. It follows proper form and has extremely low bass.

I feel like I'm echoing a lot

I feel like I'm echoing a lot of the comments here already in saying that I'm not normally a big fan of trap music, but this is just so well produced. Sounds incredibly polished, a pleasure to listen to!

How did you get your samples

How did you get your samples to sound so clear? Its like you mastered this song in a pro studio. Sample by sample. Your obviously not using any caustic preset synths right? Good job dude.

Hey thanks a lot Dubrovnik!

Hey thanks a lot Dubrovnik!
This is all 100% composed and mastered in Caustic.
Most synth are Caustic originals(presets),
just modified to my taste...
Including;
*Modular: bebe mallet
*PCM: space sitar
*PCM: pad deep
*PCM: pad clock
*PCM: zvon doo
*KSS: dulcimer 5ths

The rest of the sounds including the plucks,fx,main percussion,808 and electro saw synths are cropped/modified one shot samples...
I gave a bit of reverb to the main drums like claps/hats...a bit of spread stereo reverb-delay on the master section and that's basically it;)

Feel free to check out my recent trap sounds;)
