Had a lot of fun doing this one. Uplifting trance is probably my fave genre of electronic music, and this one more-or-less follows that form. The voices are from Polynomial Software's Vocality app for android.

Indeed, music is the best way to tell about love, and not only to machines. But a machine is not yet sensible to human feelings caused by music...

Wow thanks guys! I'm honored and humbled to be mentioned in the same paragraph as JMJ. I could listen to Equinoxe and Chronologie twice a week for the rest of my life and never get sick of either one. Amazing what he was able to without an app in his pocket that makes it so easy. I'll probably occasionally imitate my favorite composers while I'm searching for my own unique sound, and I'm very happy to be compared with JMJ.
Really good! I do like the rotating octave lead being used. The voices sound really good too, the delay makes it sinister, but the overall uplifting sense of the piece contrasts that. I like it :D
Great track, particularly like the second half. I'm glad people are finding Vocality useful for their Caustic projects!

You go ahead and imitate as much as you like, everybody need experience to find their own style. As a teenager I tried to avoid listening to music because I thought that would automatically generate a personal style. But it doesn’t work at least it didn’t for me, you hear music all the time and things you already heard will affect your style to. In the end there’s no rule saying that you can’t have your own style if you sound like somebody else. The most important thing is that you enjoy what your doing, the future will reveal what that lead to.
Really glad you guys enjoyed it. Oh and I forgot to thank Skarabee for the bassdrum help earlier. Thats that low boom you hear several times. In the end i put it in a beatbox space I wasn't using rather than the pcmsynth. That's a trance kick plus orchestral bassdrum plus a big glob of reverb. I'll definitely be making more presets that way.
Thanks for making the app. It definitely added an extra spice to this track and gave it a direction to head in, as i knew early on i wanted the climax to be both the guy and girl (I nicknamed them Clive and Caitlyn) to say their lines in unison.

Thank you. I very much appreciate the advice. As I say in my soundcloud profile most of my musical "training" comes from being a fan of music. So while I'm working on a song I will listen to it several times as it's growing and continually ask myself, "What would I like to hear in this part, and what would naturally and logically come next?" Later the song will get stuck in my head and it's as if my brain adds parts that aren't there yet. Sometimes they don't quite translate into a caustic file and sometimes they do. Things just kind of change and grow organically almost on their own. I worked on this for about 6 or 7 weeks, and up until like four days ago the arpeggio that bounces around the soundfield had distortion applied, which would've completely changed the mood. It never sounded quite right to me, but it worked as a placeholder while I concentrated on other things. Then it just kinda hit me that I should take that distortion out and apply delay and a phaser effect, and BAM. Suddenly the piece has the sound I was shooting for in the first place.
Not sure if I have a point other than I'm really enjoying using this long-dormant part of my brain and creating music is helping me to enjoy the work of others in a new way. Many thanks again to Rej for making this app.
