One of my tracks, somewhere between downtempo, chilled and ambient
On a hot summer day, this track coupled with a nice iced coffee, perfect!
Nice job on tuis one. Love it! Kinda my flavor just slower. Keep em comin!
Hey, on an upcoming youtube video ill be showcasing many styles generated with caustic featuring soundbites and credits to their artists. May I feature this too?
Hi, thanks for your comments I really appreciate them. I'd be happy for you to feature the track on your video.
I loved caustic ever since i downloaded the demo and then bought it about 5mins later. It's kinda funny because I only ever meant to use caustic for creating backing tracks to play guitar along to. I then found some (well ok a lot of) samples and now am creating my own sounds in Vsti synths to import back into caustic and creating all kinds of different styles of songs
Yeah? Well have you grabbed the LoopStack? I get suprisingly good audio recording from my very tiny condenser phone mic. Rej must have some good input processing or mic "modelling" (like some VST plugins that will make cheap mics sound like expensive AKG's etc...) I am going to make some good use of that app and feature that on my YT page as well
Very nice track Andrulian, I love this kind of stuff too. I keep a selection of Caustic-made music as bookmarks to listen to while I'm working on new stuff, keeps me motivated to hear the cool stuff people are creating, this is definitely going in the list!
@jblann: Actually, apart from some very basic filtering and DC-bias removal, LoopStack hardly touches the mic input signal at all.... phone tech is just getting better. There's always a case for decent mics on phones when it means requiring less tricks to encode over digital phone "lines".
Will be downloading this track if you don't mind, awesome intro.
The samples in this track are beautiful, so organic and warm. I love it! I take it you used alot of the piano roll section of the sequencer?
No download possible. Like hearing it again.
Sorry, still getting used to soundcloud but I've just enabled downloads for all my tracks.
I didn't use the piano roll feature, programmed patterns and used them in the normal sequencer. I often use different beats for different sounds like the bass or piano and sometimes a bit of trial and error so a sound comes in on the fourth beat of the previous bar for instance. Also using individual samples in the pcm synth and setting their octave range helps as it allows for layering of sounds or multiple bass sounds on a single track
trial and error? whats that? :)
