Hi,
The forum has been updated. Now if you want to post a track and .caustic file it's as easy as filling in two fields.
1. Go to your track page on soundcloud and find the Full url to your track;
2. Next paste the URL into the Soundcloud Track field;
3. Click the Browse button to locate your local .caustic file and hit Upload.
4. Write your forum post Body data as usual and Submit!
5. See the result.
Hopefully this will make your community sharing 100% more fun!
Remember, when you submit a caustic file, you are agreeing to the public domain sharing of your content.

Wardini would hug you if he could heehee.
Coolbeans, so I guess I have to share all my secrets? Mmmmmm
Nice work Mike!
Nice one Mike, I just edited the field header for the source .caustic file to indicate it's optional. I don't want people to hold off on sharing their final audio mix (soundcloud) because they're not comfortable giving away their source work.
Ok, yeah I was I guess being overly direct.
Haha, the actual php code to get the filter formater to run on a field was the hard part. :)

As of 07-27-2013 The FULL soundcloud URL is required. I fixed a problem I was having and that is why the first iteration had the fragment path.
I have learned to talk to the boss before I hack things.
Now its just an easy copy and paste.

Haha, awesome Mike. Just like the guys here keep pushing me for more features, I'll keep bugging my favourite Web dude. O:-)
No problem Rej, it's always a pleasure to help.
Not to mention I love learning and fixing things, this was the case here.
Note; You never bug me with requests, you just push me to fix something I should have spent two more hours on and fixed.

as most of my songs use presets from eip and zvon and audiovapor and dont panic etc etc. whats the deal with posting tge .caustic file. so far i havent bought any just for lack of funds so its all free content but its still not mine and it woukd make any presets i used available to save. so. . whatre the rules on all this?
I would say if all your presets are free for use, there is no problem posting the .caustic file, there would be a problem if you tried selling those free presets.
Mike
I just tried uploading a .caustic file from my phone and there is no file browser listed in the pop up menu. Dropbox is listed and that errors out when trying to add a file. Is this just an issue on mobile?
I think this is the classic content type issue again. So you pressed the Browse button and all the popped up to use was soundcloud and not a file manger app?
I don't know, there are so many possibilities on Android, who knows what the problem could be. Sorry.. :)
I know in the actual site code its
for the Browse button, it must be your browser messing up, try a different browser just to see if that makes any difference.
Mike
Any EIPStudiosOhio content presets from Paid or Free packs are OK to share only with your Caustic Song File, on this Forum,so generally no problems here...
This is what comes up when pressing "choose file"
Same here.... when I upload a Caustic Song File, I have to do it from PC.... unless there is a mobile app that integrates uploading any type of file, not just mobile-standard media files...
Is this a samsung thing? I just got the gs4 so coming from the Razr it might be different.
For anyone posting to this thread, this is a discussion about posting SoundCloud links in forums posts.
Please post your songs in separate threads, not here.

If you install the cool app "ES File Explorer" when you will see it appear in the same window as your other apps . Select it and you can then navigate to any file using ES :)

Hello. Thanks. Tremendously simple affair. Just introducing my 1st projects on Caustic 3. This is my brain on it. I started this as an experiment in sound creation. I was go for a wha guitar then the track followed. It's just an intro, so mixing and EQ leaves a lot to be desired. Anywhoo hear it is. Cheers.

Can't help but love the versatility in Caustic. Propellerhead dropped the ball. Any one willing to add some solo's?

My bad. I'll get it to the right post.
Why is it when I click the caustic song file(optional), it tells me to chose a photo or vidio or take one. I don't see my files. Someone please help.
Are you using android or IOS?
I would like to show everyone what I've been creating using Caustic over the last few years...here's the link to my most recent track but all tracks on this page were created using Caustic 3. If anyone wants to collaborate let me know
