Canadian Oak - Caustic 3 Test tune number two

Caustic Song file (optional):

I started this yesterday evening and 24 hours later it's 'finished'. Just a short little tune with Beatbox drums recorded live in pattern mode, a Mod Synth, FM Synth and Organ Synth (now replaced by subsynth) and finally a PCM Synth for that M1 Piano sound (now replaced by a flute).

Minimal production, no automation. Not quite a song but I used transpose to introduce some melodic variation and also toyed with shuffle overide on a couple of patterns. Also used the new glide feature on mod and sub synth, love it.

A nominal prize to the person who guesses the meaning behind the slightly cryptic song title smiley

Well the other day I was

Well the other day I was going to comment on the little spliff in your avatar's mouth, followed by the beer after the toke.

...While tripping out on techno music using the hallucinogenic ear phones pipped into caustic beats. Your character is just missing the bloodshot eyes.

It was always supposed to be

It was always supposed to be a cigarette as I was a 20 a day smoker when I created South Park James. I've quit now and my hair's short but I still love the avatar smiley

Maybe I was being way too smart arsey with the name, I chose it because some of the sounds, especially the modular synth and subsynth sound a little like the kind of sounds favoured by a Scottish electronica duo...
