Now the sound is real good..

Now the sound is real good.. No more noise..
14MB is ok.. Sure it needs a few floppy discs !! Eh eh..
But I'm totally disoriented by the unusual way you organise your notes on the keyboard.. Am I ton much classic, a A key must play an A and not an E ??

You know Jason's preset using a Gibson soundfont ?? The notes are organised normally, an E key will play an E .. But the upper octaves, unused, are used for adding notes, played differently..

"I'm totally disoriented by the unusual way you organise your notes on the keyboard.. "

This is what I was afraid of , and it's all I needed to know...
Knowing that each string has its own resonance or timbre or whatever, I wanted get as many notes from each string as possible. For example, the fifth fret of the top string is an A, and the string right below it played open is the exact same note, but is still noticeably different. In order to play as many of those differences as possible, the only way I could think of doing it was if I mapped each octave as a separate string, starting with c1 as the top string and c6 as the bottom string. It was just an experiment, but I can see that it would be too hard to follow.
Really what we need here (for my mapping) is a guitar machine. But since we don't have one I'll map the notes as best as I can to the keyboard.

This isn't a final version,

This isn't a final version, but it's the same 6 samples mapped correctly, to show the difference....

And feel free to edit any of these any way you want of course if you have any ideas.

I did check out stePH's

I did check out stePH's thread... I had forgotten about it until you reminded me. Thanks for the link. Now I have some thinking to do...

Whatever I do it will most likely be 2 presets, but I'm wondering...Do I want to make 1 each for higher and lower notes on the neck, or 1 each for the top 3 strings and bottom 3?

And another option, so that

And another option, so that will make your choice even more difficult (ah ah, don't thank me !!)
One file for each string ?? With the notes placed on their normal key.. An E for an E, I for I and and teeth for teeth..
And T for 2 and 2 for tea..
So.. One file per string, 6 PCMsynths, polyphony turned to 1, and routed in modular ??

I actually considered that,

I actually considered that, and would be willing to do it, but would anyone use it?
I might do it just to make the samples available. But unfortunately I have no idea how to make soundfonts. Aside from by guitar setup, all I have is my phone..
In the meantime, there's this that I stumbled on a little bit ago...

I havn't tried any yet...

You're welcome Philippe.. But

You're welcome Philippe.. But there are better versions on Youtube or elsewhere.. The reason for this post, was the caustic-made acoustic guitar imitation.. Anyway, you're welcome..
