Alright thanks man.
I don't know what you mean with "Growl", but the Bassline synth can also be a good choice, if you want a 303-kind-of growl. The modular is my goto synth for basslines, but it's the hardest one to learn.
About the chords, it depends on what kind of instrument you want. If it's rather soft, you might want to use the padsynth. For stabs, plucks or sawpads, use the sawsynth. Sometimes the subsynth can work for this too. The FM synth is good for e-piano-like chords
for chords the padsynth works well. only caviot is that you need experiment a lot to really make a good pad.
Very true about the pad synth. I notice no one has mentioned the fm synth or sub synth - both of which CAN make growling bass and / or chords. Both also work better used in conjunction with a modular synthesizer, which can add oscillators, filters, fx slots, and drive the original machine so you only have to enter note patterns on the modular.
¿que onda, pachuco?
ive have managed to make the best growler bass
this vid is my tutorial on how i made it if you dont want to download it but just see how it sounds
