Confined space with soft

Confined space with soft walls, floors etc... if possible.  Speak or sing loudly with authority and clearly, to help lower the noise floor situation you are experiencing (unless your device is doing something weird while recording)  no fans, or central air running etc...

Without hearing your raw recording, I'm flying blind here.....

Are you recording directly in

Are you recording directly in Caustic with the phone mic

Is it the general hiss or the sibilance on certain words? If its on certain words, hi frequencies, like SSs or SShhh, you can try to mimic a deesser with modularsynth and compressor.

Or indeed just sing loudly

Or indeed just sing loudly and not directly into the mic, that'll reduce most pops and sibilants

If he is able to post a short

If he is able to post a short audio clip, we can better ascertain the source of the noise, or noisefloor, or overdriven "essing" as Skarabee noted....
