I make hip hop beats, and sampling is one thing U can't avoid (matter of fact, I love
sampling a lot) but as an E-digger, Mostly every old record I find online are all in mp3 formats, this made it difficult for me to sample my favorite records in my beats until I found this app "SONIC CHOP SAMPLE RIPPER".
The app let's you Convert mp3 files to WAV and chop them up. it is very effective, fast and doesn't alter the song quality.
I know this won't be a problem for those that use PCs, but for just Android users like me, it will come in handy for doing your remixes or sampling your old vinyl records in caustic. so I thought I'd share.
For Caustic HipHop beat makers your can find a great collection of records on this site

I also get a lot off YouTube
Happy Sampling
I will check this out. Tnx

you welcome bro.
Convert the MP3 to wav and load them into a pcm,you can then do the usual arrangements...
♬ Lu!G
you can't.......
must convert to WAV first
And I forgot to mention that the App DO NOT require internet connection, so that won't be a problem.
@Jason, I don't know if you were referring to me, but I already pointed the Android app I use for this (i.e SONIC CHOP SAMPLE RIPPER). And to help others who might be in need of it is my purpose of creating this thread.
You can try the app, it's really cool.
What does the app output? Can it bulk export Lots of small wav files, i. E. Could you use it to put a whole song in the pcm?
Btw the app costs 1$ which doesn't seem extortionate.
My Soundcloud profile is _dredge_
Oh yes, indeed, there are some mp3 to Wav converts out there, and that's a great tool to be able use such samples in Caustic.
Rej talked about this one in another thread recently... http://www.singlecellsoftware.com/node/3434
uumm..........Yea, you can chop up as many fractions as desired and save in any folder of your choice and give it any name of your choice.
All you need do is select the part you want to chop using the markers. The app is pretty simple to use.
There's also an Auto chop feature, you just choose in time intervals and it automatically chops the file accordingly.
The Original mp3 file( or any other audio file) will be retained and the converted wave file also. You delete at your own Will.
I can't wait for the stereo support to come on Caustic 3.2, ............I wish a date has been given Lol.
Well, it hasn't even hit the Alpha/Beta testing phase yet..... when you see that pop up around here, then you will know it's getting close..... When Rej announces an RC build (release-candidate), then you know it's very close to official build release....
It's not too far off now....
dev's never really give a release date
oh well........little little patients........will surely come sooner than later
