The result of a week.
So yeah, I made 28 subsynth, around 56 modulars, 28 8bitsynths, 20 padsymths.
I'm loosely numbering, I can't remember ;).
Contains:
A pack of stereo modular sounds
A pack of pads/soundscapes
A pack of clean sounds (I called them leads but some are basses)
A pack of above but dirty this time
A few formant modulars (using formant filter)
2 packs of subsynth with various lead sounds/bass sounds
2 8 bit packs... Anything goes!
In some modular packs, where there is space (free component) I have placed either a machine input or an arpeggiator. The arp is switched off. If you need to use glide, note that you have to remove the arp first. Thanks.
No audio guide, no time lol.
Some cool effects here, such as 'water fx' made in modular.
I alsosampled my bro blowing glass for pcm. I couldn't get the loop points correct though, so it only sounds good at lower octaves
Also, sometimes my sounds have been bundled in the wrong places... Like 'not clean' preset in clean sounds song file. This is probably because I failed and decided to leave it anyway.
Anyway it's all for fun. It's free... What's to lose? Give it a try guys :)

That's the lot! I have created all myself, but if my presets Coincidentally sound similar to yours let me know. I will either credit you or remove it. (I'd prefer crediting). But as I said... All are mine and mine alone, this is just if thesesounds are identical to yours by COINCIDENCE. Thanks!

yes I used one of your modular presets with in my new dubstep project on the forum .
Nice. However that's from my other pack lol. This stuff is all new... I'll change the title to make it more obvious probably why nobody is commenting lol

That's a nice melody on that pH clarinet too... Nice stuff.

I've DL'd both sets, saved the presets and then deleted the songs. I previewed every patch and there were some awesome noises.
I'm just on a bit of a hiatus from writing but all these new presets and the prospect of a new Beta probably means I'll become hyper productive for a few weeks again soon

check this out mrshots i used some of your sounds to make this

Oomlgpro's song is a good showcase of a few of those sounds, go check it out. Idk which ones he used yet though :P.
James: good to hear. If you can use my sounds I'm happy. You're an old timer here right? I'm just a young scallywags but I've looked through the older threads while researching topics and found you in a few of them. I'll listen to your song's when you post them, I try to be active listening to songs but it's hard because I use Internet in cafe's and dislike having headphones in public, I'll find a way. I used mobile data to view mlg's progressive house :)

Whenever I release packs I have a bit of reverb and delay on the master strip to make them sound a bit more alive. This can be achieved in normal songs just by putting some reverb and delay on the instrument...
Most sounds sound flat without a little reverb and delay, which is why I did it... ;)

when you're being awesome and giving your stuff away that's fine, if you decide to start selling content on Google Play or the iOS equivalent, or the non-dodgy Android App sites then you'll probably lose that facility.
I think people will expect a preset, in preset format, nothing more. That's not to say your sounds aren't worth selling, they're as good as any Caustic pack (that isn't aimed at the PCM Synth or BB) that I've bought, and I've bought pretty much every pack I've found

Took me a while to get what you were saying! :D
I'll check the song later.
Yeah I totally understand what you're saying, if I was to start charging, I would put them in preset form...
But only when I figure out how...
Anyway I probably won't charge anything yet,a couple hundred more presets maybe... I'm not looking for an income from this :)
I might start dropbozing the content, but when I did Andy Zamoran said that people might not trust that. What do you think?
Right now I'm trying to gain trust so that people CAN trust the files I give out :)

That's pretty awesome!! I can't tell if my presets were used, maybe they weren't...
Awesome little song! Very ambient!!
Surrounding my senses with bass ;}
Good job there... Which presets did you use (if any?)

My track is two or three years old so any similarities would be a coincidence
None of your presets were used, or abused.

...but, just to be clear...I'd buy packs from you, especially if you concentrated on delivering awesome patches for the FM and Modular

Yeah I looked at your track for a date
..
Couldn't find anything :/ so that's why I asked :) your track was really inspirational, someday I hope to make something as good as that... In due time, I tell myself.
That's great to hear! Thanks... I don't think I could muscle making pcmsynth anyway.. My favourite are the modular, subsynth and fmsynth. I love having automation control over everything in real time, which you don't get with the pcmsynth...(definitely not bad though).
As a side note, does anybody know what the 'sync' input does? For the modular.
I also need to learn the sample and hold block. I haven't used that at all...
I make creative EDM utilising Caustic and many other Daws. See for yourself on my SoundCloud, you may like it :) https://soundcloud.com/xandyaudio thanks!
sync input on the waveform gen is used to sync(go figure) the target waveform with the waveform of the source you attached to it. ie: the waveform generator resets its duty cycle everytime the source sounds duty cycle finishes. crazy things can happen with pulse modulated squares fed into that input. sample and holds a little trickier to explain, I read the wiki and a few other sources and understand it enough to use it now, but not to explain it well. best I can do is suggest some light google research.
Thanks... I figured out sample and hold and wad slightly unsure about sync...
I made a somewhat chromatic instrument using an Lfo and a sample and hold, I could use it to add grit to the sounds, I already have in my new modulars...

Huge thanks Mr Shots - these are awesome. I wish I could get my head round the modular like you have.
Thanks :D
I'm thinking 'how SHOULD I connect this part and how COULD I connect this part? ;D'
Even if I don't know what it does, I'll connect some random piece of crap to it and see what happens... Lol.
And through that you end up knowing what those things do...

I just wanted to come back and thank you again for this awesome collection. I almost immediately got the inspiration i was looking for. I now bestow upon you the official "You da maaaaan!"

Some good stuff in there, and very tweakable to make your own flavors..... again, nice work, sir.
Glad you guys like them, will be releasing more quality stuff soon, I dont make presets that often rn :P
And this is a fairly old post, old enough for me to cringe at myself :D

Hello MrSHots..
Yes, it can happen that, when you spend time creating your sounds, you finally end up with a sound exactly similar, or very close, to the sound that someone else has created.. Especially when you use the same machine, but even with a different one..
And then ? wtf ?
Feel comfortable with the fact that, as far as your own programming has led you to that sound, then this sound is your creation.. You don't have to feel sorry if someone else created the same sound, when he was programming his machines..
After all, your subsynth, for example, has the exact same configuration as mine.. 2 VCOs, one filter, 2 envelopes, 2 LFOs.. so of course, it will happen that, each one on his side, we end up with the same sound.. It's something that can happen.. But even then my sound will be my baby, and your sound will be your baby.. You will not have to credit me for that sound, neither will I have to credit you for my sound, even if they were 100% similar..
Sp.. Thanx for sharing this files, and if ever one of them were similar to one of mine, it would absolutely not be a problem.. For me at least..
Have a good peaceful night..
Thierry
Totally agree.
Thanks for the presets!
Sooooooo glad this thread came around again. I had lost em.
