I see many caustic users love new trap wave which push "older" hip-hop sound in shadows.  

But many of them make it kinda wrong. 

I will offer you my help how to make basic trap  drum pattern. 

1.  You will need trap drums kits.    You cant make trap beat with rock drums for example.   So first, find good trap  free drumkit.    

2.  Tempo should be double speed of normal hip-hop music.   So, at least 140bpm.   Depends what you want.  For example, if you want to make trap remix of some older hip-hop song, just double bpm.   80 become 160 etc.   But if you want trap track, tempo must be at least 140.  

3.  Now about drum pattern making. 

It is subjective thing, but here is how would i make this.  

Snare on 9-th drum space, closed hihats, on every space, but in last 4 spaces you can add 8 or even 16 hats.   To speed up hats and make pattern interesting. 

Kick on first drum space, but you can add wherever you think it fits.  3-rd, 5-th etc.   Make variations.  

And thats it for basic drum pattern. 

But heart of trap drums are little snare plays on  between 3-rd and 4-th snare bar and huge snare variation on 8-th bar.   

Its subjective feel how you gonna do it, there are hundeds of ways.   So experiment and you will get results.
