Hey real good, crazy good in fact, i just love that intro, then bam, into the body...! I really like the little sort of added sounds/effects that come and go through the song, bells, swoops, Boiiiinnnggs really help lift it into something else, and yeah like the tempo it almost sounds like the tempo gets that kind of slowing down feel, at the minute mark (a little sound illusion I think?)...really nice
Thanks for listening and commenting. I really appreciate it! What happens at the 1:00 mark and again later is the bassline goes into triplets which does give the illusion of slowing down without actually breaking the beat. Kind of inspired the spacey treatment at that point. The drums drop there which adds to that impression, but if they didn't, you'd see the beat never breaks. Triplets are fun and if I remixed, I would probably experiment with percussion following the triplets.
The bassline goes into triplets at the 1:00 mark and then again later, which gives the impression that the song is slowing down even though it does not actually break the beat. This happens again later. This provided some inspiration penalty kick online for the spacey treatment that was being used at that period. The drums slow down at that point, which contributes to the overall impression, but if they didn't, you'd notice that the beat stays consistent the whole time.
