mniip's caustic compositions

hello everyone,

I'm new on the forum, this is by first post :D

After getting caustic 2 about a month ago, I've finally been able to compose some of my ideas. I as of now have 8 tracks so far. See my soundcloud profile here: https://soundcloud.com/adrian-king-6

Take your time to browse through all of my sounds, all of which obviously made with caustic :D I would really appreciate some feedback, and I figured this would be the best place for it. I hope you like my sounds!

I have to say that collection

I have to say that collection is very impressive for you're humble entrance.

What sounds are you using for those songs, they sound very smooth and full.

Hello mike! thank you for the positive comment

I tend to use the subsynth alot when making my sounds, I use alot of the functions like the frequency modulation and various other parameters. The next thing I do is head over to the insert effects, once I am happy with my initial sound. Depending on the sound I want, I will choose perhaps some overdrive distortion, and then maybe add the autowah on top of that. There are obviously many combinations availibile. It's the basic sort of algorithm anyone would do untill they are happy with their sound. I also play alot with the panning and sound width to add contrast between sounds.

I think I will spend 50% of the time with the "control automation" feauture (atleast, I think it is called that). Which is also very useful for making sounds more interesting and progressive.

Thanks again! I really

Thanks again! I really appreciate it

I do try to vary the style of music I make. But it all hovers around the general electronic theme. I figured it would be more interesting and contrasting if I made music of relatively different styles, I'm glad you noticed! :)

Really man,

Really man,

Your track list I will be playing. I'm listening to it right now programming an app that uses the CausticCore (you might actually use this app in the future smiley). I usually don't respond 3 times about something but your sound really hits me, you got groove, trance and the mushroom songs kicks ass.

Keep them coming, you might inspire me to make some more trance eventually instead of constantly programing! :)

Cheers! I'm happy to now be part of the community, and I love using the app. I think credit must go to the developer(s) for making such a versatile app!

Hey it's because of guys like

Hey it's because of guys like you who come in with talent, taking this app to the edge and beyond that makes this all possible, to make it better and better.  I remember seeing version 1 briefly, then 2.0, then 2.0.2, and now the newly updated 2.1  ----  major improvements in such a short time, and there are ALOT of new things in the pipeline for this project that will blow your socks off.  And now you're a part of history in the making.

Well it's certainly a

Well it's certainly a privilage to use this app while it's still in development. I look forward to later releases for definite! The app is already so advanced and perfect, i can hardly think of any improvements. But if you guys already have things planned for the future, it just makes me that much more excitied. Again, I'm really happy to have discovered this app. It truely redicules all the other availible apps, and also competes with many proffesional mainstream sofware, but for a tiny fraction of the price! :D

I'll be sure to check your soundcloud out, andy :D

Welcome

Welcome to the group!  Nice work with your songs too.  If you're just scratching the surface, you will be amazed at what's possible & the things to come.  Be sure to check out work by all the other users- there is some real talent going around.  Enjoy!

Some really nice sounding

Some really nice sounding tracks you have there Adrian - Atomic Mushroom is definitely my favourite!

You've been very busy with this app, I've only made a couple of tracks in the same amount of time you've managed to get all these done!

thanks both of you!

thanks both of you!

yeah, I definitely have been producing with the app alot, and I have become very fluent in using it, it's probably the reason why I finish my songs so quickly.

I would agree with you there, caustic works can easily be mistaken as studio music if you push the app to it's full potential! :D

Yeah, if you are wondering

Yeah, if you are wondering what others might be talking about with the app or core, check out;

http://www.teotigraphix.org/causticcore/

See the Overview and Getting started pages, this is my project and will expand this community 10 fold.

I will have more information to come, but if you are a Java Android developer, hold onto your hat.

I will be learning to program

I will be learning to program in java properly when I go to college, I only know a little bit as of now, nothing really sufficient. But this definitely looks exciting. When I am a Java android developer, I'll be sure to hold onto my hat untill it takes me into space and I can no longer breathe!
