I found a choral soundfont and started with that, somehow ended up with a drum set in there, and then - for reasons I cannot even remember - decided it would be a good idea to toss in a trumpet and sax... Walkabout is the bastard child of that unusual and messed up scramble of whatever happened to me that day.

Great track. I don't like the bass sound however, it sounds too rigid (too sampled) to me. I would put a lowpass filter with a slow decay on it to make sound more natural and more alive. Everything else sounds great though
I think I get it, Pan. Not sure about the lowpass settings I'm using, but I am listening with a cheap pair of earbuds while on my lunch with construction outside shaking the building, so I will reserve judgment until I can get a better listen. The decay does add a little flavour, though! Thanks!
And thanks Monkay and Josh L!
Cheers!
Well the settings is not that important, what sounds good to you probably sounds good to others to. The goal is to create some movement in the sound and thereby make it less static. Good luck and once again, great track :).
