EIPSO site down

I've received some emails, and noticed a few comments here recently that you've noticed that EIPSO dot com is down.   I have taken the site down purely for one simple reason.   For what I have been paying for domain and ultra-secure webhosting services (mainly for iOS sales and other information purposes) my projected iOS and (at the time) Amazon/Blackberry sales fell way below expectations -- Rej can confirm that iOS and Amazon sales for Caustic and Caustic-related tools hold a far lower partition than GPS/Android sales do.

Funny thing though, having the site down for some time now has not affected my GPS and Amazon sales at all, so it's been running on auto-pilot just fine.

I will have EIPSO back online at some point in the near future, after I've had some time to seriously consider and plan my new approach for music and audio projects that I hope to fire up starting as soon as January 2016.  PocketKit and Builderz will still rule in the Caustic world, and I will be expanding those projects and hopefully have a little treat ready to go, in celebration of the upcoming Caustic 3.2 release when it's all finalized.

thank you sir; it's nothing

thank you sir; it's nothing bad really, like I said the GPS sales are doing great and holding their own numbers even without EIPSO, the iOS sales were not up to my spec.   No loss, no worries, just need time to re-organize and get back into all of this, when time allows.   My choice was merely a business decision, nothing more.

It's all good, just generally answering the question before more people ask coolyes

I don't understand why iOS

I don't understand why iOS users are not all over Caustic. The bang-for-the-buck is incredible. I have many of the major iOS offerings and Caustic takes the best from most of them and then adds the "secret sauce" that the others don't have. I just don't get it. I will continue to bang the drum for Caustic whenever I get the chance.

I am disappointed that iOS

I am disappointed that iOS isn't proving to be as successful for Caustic and Jason's add-ons. The competing iOS music apps (Gadget, Cubasis, Beatmaker, etc.) all have obvious weaknesses and/or needless complexity. I vastly prefer working with Caustic. As much as I love Logic Pro X, Caustic has a feel about it that is more appealing. The workflow is smooth, the instruments sound great, the UI is perfect for tablets, and the community is top-notch.

I'll be encouraging others to try out (via the desktop options) and purchase this great app.

It's ok, my GPS sales still

It's ok, my GPS sales still hold strong, so I'm not losing any revenue there.   It was just the overhead cost ratio vs iOS sales just didn't measure up.

I agree, I don't know why there isn't a massive Caustic following from that market.....  but I have a guess -- oh well too bad for them

Say Jason,

Say Jason,

I'm new to the forums. I downloaded Caustic a long time ago but only recently have had the time and energy to start playing with it. I'm on iOS; is there any way to get any of your content for iOS now? I have done some cursory poking around but come up empty; I would keep searching on my own, but my internet attention span is waning as I get old. :)

If not, since I'm here asking anyway: are there any other providers of Caustic content packs for iOS? I have browsed through the preset downloads here but there are so many of them I could spend most of what is left of my life finding those that I would most likely use. My main problem with Caustic at this early stage is getting a really fat and punchy low end. So many digital tools are overflowing with bright harmonics but I suspect Caustic is capable of a more solid sound than I have managed to get out of it yet.

It would happen that in my old age I have fallen in love with experimental dark ambient drone/noise. It is of course tricky to get the right blend of frequencies up out of the mud when working with several sources, but some synths make it so easy (I'm thinking Sunrizer and iMini as well as SunVox and iDensity) that I know it can be done. Besides SunVox, Caustic is the only reliable multitracking audio production app on my iPad, and I sometimes tire of SunVox's interface and lack of a piano roll. So I want to push Caustic around a little. Tips? Ideas? Links to good deep slow noisy things?

Thanks! Maybe I will also post my last paragraph in a less out-of-the-way place.

Derrti, huh?   totally missed his question there, bud.......

erikjms,  I did actually have quite a bit of everything I made for iOS on my old site, and that all went down when I took EIPSO offline.   I have a new site up now, actually (new domain name), but I have yet to get it populated with everything again, and will take some time.  And I hope to have a whole new Apple Store set up for everything again in due time.

thanks, both of you

I have downloaded some interesting presets and have some things to keep me busy for a little while, so don't rush your website for me! Unless you want to--I know how compelling the wishes of random internet dudes can be. ;)

Hello there everyone , just

Hello there everyone , just my two cents on suspecting why the iOS scene is not responding well ...

( my two cents are based on my own prejudice i have had towards Caustic as a potential buyer )

CAUSTIC - it's not really what it appears to be

----- it looks like a toy * it reminds me of some retro synth from your childhood

(it took some time i have learned to appreciate the simplicity and cleverness of the design ... altough the drawbar section is still cracking me up )

---- the basic setup seems ... well basic ( there are a few different synths like, but they kinda basic, and i just don't know .... )

* again, it needs some time to realize that pcm handles wav stuff, that modular is the hidden gem of it all, how the vocoder stuff blows away, etc. etc.

So whereas apple users are more acustomed to *pardon the expression **idiot-proof polished packages with blown up value , the caustic seems like something cheap and not COOL ..... altough exact opposite is the truth. I decided to get caustic only because i wanted something portable, and i am an android guy with linux experience - and yet i have decided to go for caustic just because it seemed cool ,  BUT MOSTLY IT WAS CHEAP. altough i could go for some free stuff for sketching , i concluded that for some sequencer with extra abilities in a nice package would be acceptable for such price. Oh boy was I an ignorant fool to underestimate the power hiding inside, including the mentioned beauty of the design.

I'd still fight for some better drawbar interface, custom midi control board ( modular like ) , and some XY touch assignable controllers
