So this tune started as something totally different, but then I decided to test the capabilities of the revamped wave editor.
And holy poop on a stick, is it good? The ability to stretch or pitch any specific part of a sample makes thinks a hell of a lot easier. And I can't add to what's already been said about the sawsynth.
I did have major headaches with it though. Credit has to be paid to Rej, who, when the whole file corrupted and would crash my phone, fixed the file promptly, saving hours of input from being lost.
I had to redo all mixer and fx automation after the fix, and then, when I got back to where I was, managed to delete the file from my phone, so had to reload and re-redo it..
But here it finally is. Using samples from Pulp Fiction, one of the finest films ever made. When watching the film, scanning for viable samples, it struck me that about 80-90% of the dialogue could be used, especially Samuel L Jackson.
I hope you enjoy it. Any comments are welcome.
Gotta warn you, there are some Mommy and Daddy words used in this tune, so if you just came out of a cave for the first time in your life, get over it, it's just words.
Thanks

10 / 10 for clarity, depth & musical arrangement dude. Vocals sound great. Melodies are catchy & you changed the drum?
Cheers guys. Didn't change the drum, but I did lower the width and height of the cabinet simulator, and stretched it by 40% to give it more presence

Hey Alexei, you have a right bobby dazzler of a song here, real epic. Great dynamics, melodies, and you have incorporated those S.LJ. vocal lines superbly. Like those synth stabs begining of the last third that seem to slightly stagger. This could be a real winner in the clubs I reckon, really excellent creativity

Cheers Wells. Always good to get your feedback. The stagger was total accidental. I accidentally placed a point of zero on the release of one of the two stabs but liked it so much that I incorporated it into the other stab. The main body of the tune has been in place for ages, but it was the polish that took the time. Glad you like it :-D

First a very little criticism.. but don't take it too hard. Maybe it's just my feel / ears:
Sometimes I feel, that the gated synth disturbs the flow somehow...( e.g. around 6:15) but I can't describe exactly what it is.
Besides that...a really huge track Alexei!

That's cool buddy. Thanks for the feedback. The effect is intentional and meant to be a little jarring. Kinda like something to break the cycle, jolt you, I listen to a lot of anjunabeats stuff and it's used
In some of that. I dont take it as a criticism, because it had the desired effect. It's supposed to break the flow dude. I guess it's personal taste. My ultimate goal would be to do something like Language by Porter Robinson, where at times, it just sounds like another tune cutting in

Ok.. I don't know if we're talking about the same thing ;)
I like loose studdering on the synth that is coming in at 1:40 and e.g. at and 8:11.
The mentioned section in my above comment is more about being too precise than loose.
Once more.. cool track!

I think I know the bit you mean. The saw synth that comes in at the end of the main Ezekiel speech at 6.10, with the effects dropping to zero for one stab? If so, I'll admit that it was a risk to do it cos it's not to everyone's taste, but I like it. The one thing I did forget to do was to bring the release back up a bit on the L-R pinging arp, instrument, so that sounds a bit flat. Could be that, but glad that on the whole, you like it

Epic track!;)
Love the percussion and melodies! Especially the cut off effect you gave to the main stabs~
Great structure of the whole track, awesome vibe!

total fluke/accident, but its become a focal part..think its the hugeness of the saw synth that just drops to a flat note that catches people out. But it totally transforms that section..
Thanks for the feedback. High praise from one of the very best is always welcome :-D
