Caustic Song file (optional):
Hi guys n' gals
Back with another track, but this time I'm not alone ;). Sometime before Xmas Britt and I decided to collaborate on a track, but at that time both was quite busy with the upcoming holidays and all that. Well, about two weeks ago we decided to finally get started. The title of this track is a Norwegian word that translates travel or journey.
The initial thought was to make something ambient with a Nordic/Scandinavian twist, but it turned out to be much more. Yes the the ambient elements can still be heard and it certainly has that Scandinavian feel, but it's way beyond what I imagined it to be when we started.
Enough blabbing already, now have a listen and decide for yourself.
Oh, by the way there's some really nice presets for you in the caustic file.
Edit: added a translation of the title to the OP.
Proud and honored to work with Pan65! :)

Thanks Wellsley
It turns out we are not that different Britt and me, nor in style nor in thought. We found out that we had pretty much the same feelings and same ideas about what we was working on. To use the old cliché "it just clicked" but In a professional manner, we are already discussing further collaboration. This is really exciting.
Yup!
He was mentioning instruments, and I thought about tte same. I suggested spme progressions, which he had alreadiy thought about, and cross posted mails with a lot of similar ideas. I´m flabbergasted.

Didn't realize both of you posted. Props for pan too... The progression from what I'm going to call world to jazz and back was great.
Thank you very much FISH and thanks to you to Josh :)
Now I almost feel like telling the names we gave the different parts of the piece.
We have some common Nordic tunes, but there´s one special passage that´s significant more Swedish than the other parts (And I love that the most).
And there´s an other part that´s more Norwegian than Swedish.
Guess which parts? :)

Great collab, pretty cool!
@Skynexia: Thanks Sky, glad you liked it
.
@Britt: I think we should keep it a secret and let em' folks use their imagination and decide for themselves what the song is all about. But I see I forgot to mention the title, Reise is a Norwegian word that translate travel or journey.
Thanks, Skynexia. :)

Wow. Wow, a thousand times, wow, what journey on this one. This is one great collab! The two of you created some amazing moments, here. I felt a little lost (thought my computer had gone on a little journey of its own) when the piano popped in around 3:06, but it quickly pulled me right back in.
Thanks for the share!
Cheers!
Thank you for the nice feedback Slyde, glad you liked it
