Builderz Mix progress sneak peek...

See how my mix project evolves in real time here.......   this is how I do it, one step at a time.... it's fun.

Enjoy a sneak peek...  Builderz Style  cool

Also as a side note, during the process of making this, I noticed a few anomolies that has made a reappearance:

1. BitCrusher for some reason seems to be feedback'ing something even at full Stop..... hmmmm I backed off the Depth knob, and the buzzing noise faded away.... not a big deal, but worth a look-see

2. When run out of polyphony (dang it!) I get very loud pops (as can be heard in this track if you listen carefully enough)  I bet you $20 that it is not just the audio waveform jumping suddenly from one amplitude to the next; but however simply from running out of notes and replacing them hard with new ones....   I've also replicated this popping noise using samples with volumes at 1%....... hmmmmmmmm

Other than that, it is sooooo nice flying thru this almost with my eyes closed.... lol

I had that click in Islay to.

I had that click in Islay to. It was kind of weird cause never used more than 5 notes per instrument.I found out that I used too much release on the strings so when the high string kicked in I actually played 10 notes at times. I did get around it by lowering the releasetime in those parts trough automation, if you listen carefully you can hear that happen. Not a big deal but worth mentioning since others will run in to the same problem eventually.

I also noticed that some effects like chorus, flanger and phaser add some nasty noise and there are some issues with reverb and delay to. In the project im currently working on I use a lot of reverb and delay and the signal gets distorted even if the orginal signal is really low. Sounds like the signals add up in the reverb somehow. Its more noticeable at higher frequencies.

Btw nice track Jason

I know..... there seems to be

I know..... there seems to be something odd going on when jumping note to note..... like a sorta "pre-amp" thing or something that pops on and off..... and it does feed thru IFX as well as Main FX Buses..... so the pops definetely come from the PCMSynth...

Like I said, there are workarounds.... I just haven't employed them yet, it will take time to resample my glissy pad chords and reimport and re-patternize them....

The little tick noises you hear in  Chorus and Flanger, is more noticeable on certain harmonic content than others..... It appears its just how the effect is processing the signal in the digital environment (modulation done in small steps, and you hear those "steps")   Again, you just gotta know how to feed it and set your effect to best handle what you're feeding it.   On top of that though, when you add everything else (drums and bass etc... ) will most likely mask the anomolies anyways.

I'm having fun with this mix and have alot more to add to it very soon; I'll be kicking my old 94/95 mix and ChillBlueMix off SC when this one comes out...

This would be a good track

This would be a good track for a spy movie, following the spy around as deals are made in expensive restaurants, driving between them in a 2 door coupe with a v12 under the hood......

Nice!

Hmmmmm...... never thought of

Hmmmmm...... never thought of it that way......   Cool, because this mix will get more mysterious and way off beat as it progresses..... I'm not really a straight  2 and 4 beat guy......   Jungle styles are awesome, because you can make drums do things that are quite difficult for live players (I know cuz I am one  haha)
