I put the top 2 beatboxes in if you mean those. Trashed 2 comes from Jason's pocket kit pro 2 on GPS and the hotel caledonia I'm not sure. I might have grabbed it from someine else's song. The bottom beat box was put in by Subkonchess. But I did modify it by putting in pop2 and stick1. Here's how it was when he sent it to me... https://www.dropbox.com/s/m9ownuthehsgfz8/000A1%20BA.caustic?dl=0
Not to jump ahead out of turn, but I made a cpl more tweaks. I havn't gotten it any farther on the timeline but I added an octave to #6 and added #7 and tied it to the modular in the last 8 bars. https://www.dropbox.com/s/uexp6ab9g4qwukm/000A1%20BA%203.mp3?dl=0
I'm throwing something back. I think we took a wrong turn. So there's a lot less there. For now let's not add any machines or laybe just different patterns or new machine with an existing pattern
I took away some stuff added a little length and a transition lead for muskrat. So it's muskrat turn. Take the lead and we will jump on his vibe and see where that leads?
guys, I'm going to have to withdraw from this collaboration. I've listened to this tune a number of times, and I simply can't get the vibe of this song, which means that trying to build something on top of it would be virtually impossible for me. Good luck...
Dude I don't think I can go back and start over. I don't know what else to do with it. I went back and worked on v4c. Give it another listen. Nothing major... I put your drums back the way you had them, I changed the preset for the 2nd melody, brought it back to the beginning adding about another minute, and added some automation and some other minor tweaks. Other than the overall structure and flow maybe needing some adjustment, I kinda like the overall vibe. I admit structure and flow are definitely not one of my strong points. And I definitely need to work on my drumming. But I'm just about tapped out on this one.
Yeah I get that. I actually like that old surf music. I think most people when you mention surf music automatically think of The Beach Boys, but this to me is real surf music. I actually saw The Ventures when I was a kid. The did a show in the local high school gymnasium believe it or not. I'm sure it was early 80's. Now when you mentioned "50's vibe" my mind went straight to doo-wop. That's why I had to do the search to see what the hell you coulda meant lol. That surf music btw reminds me of a band I found a while back on last.fm. They're not a surf band, but you'll see what I mean.
Hey, those drums sound really punchy, by the way. Where did you get them?

I updated it again. I freed up #4 and #5 slots by combining them into #8 then added a pan effect.

Well why don't we see what muskrat can do with it if he's still in. I think it was his turn anyway before I did all that^^^
.
The file you just posted is the same one you sent me in email 3 days ago btw.

Are we going to use 00A1 BA.caustic as the basis, or the one before that (00A1 BAv4C.caustic)?

That's fine I'll erect this beast! Btw your drumming is on point! It's got a 50s vibe!

Lol. Maybe I should start making 50's
music.
Maybe I have a better understanding of what you meant by 50's beat.
