Dragonfly - humble prog effort

So this is a new track from me, it's turned out to be a humble prog attempt, possibly from some of my influences as a youth...I have used a preset made by opus.quatre, and also the chapman stick sample by stePH, so thanks to them both

Talking about your pocketkits...Jason,do you have a couple of African style kind of drums?
The more natural they sound the better;)

Love this....especially the well used LACK of percussive patterns sprinkled throughout.....(something I could learn a bit about).  Also like the electric guitar sound.

Cheers mate, very much

Cheers mate, very much appreciated...I may be in the minority in my approach, as in I don't usually come at a song from an electronic perspective, and more as if I had instruments to play, of course it doesn't make me special, and it is probably a hit and miss approach, but hey you know...the guitar was a preset uploaded by Spyroks called Gibson LP Hackett (after Steve Hackett of Genesis) and it's in the pcmsynth presets, I used that and just added fx onto it to spice it up a bit...smiley

Another nice track (even without the trumpet!) and as Replay mentioned, though your drums are very present and upfront in the mix, you use them sparingly (empty space again) to nice effect.  I laughed at your description of your approach.  I've caught myself saying, "But the drummer couldn't actually do that ... he's only got two hands."

@demonshredder thank you that's very kind, much appreciated

@JH thanks mate, yeah I know, no trumpet, who can believe it, I just thought to myself, Wellsley you are spoiling them, there's such a thing as too much of a good thing, but dont worry it might be making an appearance in my next go...lol...I tell you what though JH, I'm glad I don't take myself too seriously...hehe..

Wellsley, I'm glad, too, but I sensed that I could get away with poking you a bit.  I really love the signature trumpet and if we ever collaborated I would insist on it being there.

A jest is always fine, a collaboration is an interesting idea, of which I have thoughts on, we could have a chat about it. I am using the 3.2 beta, are you?

I made a decision to continue

I made a decision to continue my learning process on 3.1, since I hadn't come close to mastering so much of what is there.  I look forward to the official release, hoping it isn't too far off.  There could be workarounds, I suppose.  I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hmm ok, the only workaround I can see is if I install 3.1 unless I am being a bit thick...lol...when I gather a chance I will email you on Soundcloud, as I've tried messaging on here and it hasn't worked to good
