How to change time signature inside a song ?

Hello there..

I know how to select a time signature for a complete song.. But how must I do when I want to use several different signatures on the same song ?

I have programmed patterns in 7/4, and when I select 4/4 to enter new patterns, all my 7/4 patterns are then played back in 4/4.. And vice versa..

Anyone can help ? Thanx in advance..

Thierry

Short answer: you can't. You

Short answer: you can't. You're stuck with one time sig for the whole track.

Longer answer: go to the pattern sequencer and use the unbounded piano roll editor (tap the grid button in the upper left). The bar lines still conform to whatever the time sig is, but ignore them and place your notes as needed.

I'm sure. I'veĀ asked before

I'm sure. I've asked before for time sig changes, and Rej has said he has no plans to implement them.

Of course he also said the same about tempo changes, so in a future update, who knows?

But for now, you can only set a global time sig that stays constant through the track.

It doesn't have to be a pure

It doesn't have to be a pure 7-4 song - like I said, you can use the piano roll sequencer to disregard time signatures. I did it with my track "Monsters and Magical Girls" which has a few bars of 5-4 (though only four of them, interchanged with bars of 4-4, so I could have still done the whole thing in patterns)
