Scratchy Sound

I've got from time to time a little problem with caustic. I hope I can describe it, because my english isn't very good.

When I am using two instruments (often instruments, which have a "bright"  sound) the sound becomes scratchy.

To make more clear what I mean please listen to the beginning of the this track:

First you have the vocal-sample, then the sort-of-bassline, then the string and when the string starts, the sound becomes scratchy, almost a little bit distorted.

Has anyone a solution for this problem?

Sure! Just sended it! Thanks!

P.S.:

With this track i have exact the same problem: https://soundcloud.com/bodysmasher/girls-night-out-check-my

First the kickdrum is perfect (as i want it), but when the melody starts, it suddenly get's a bit scratchy/distorted (at 1:36).

Sure, it's not a very big problem but I would be anyway very, very happy if there's a solution for it.

maybe you should try the

maybe you should try the compressor effect to reduce distortion.

Thanks for the file. The

Thanks for the file. The answer is it's simply too loud and it's clipping.

Notice the VU meters on the master in the song you sent me (at the point where the "lead" pcmsynth comes in). They are in the yellow most of the time and go into the red quite a bit, that's it.

Simple solution: Lower the master volume (you've got it maxed out). If you're finding the app is too quiet with headphones, try raising the volume on your phone/tablet instead. In my experience, the best setting for Android volume for caustic is one or two notches down from full volume, then adjust down from within the app itself. That way you've got plenty of room to raise volume of you need to, and you'll hurt your ears long before you clip.

Or.... add a Compressor at

Or.... add a Compressor at the Master Insert Effect section..... a verrrry handy tool to help bring your track alive in a new way..... but yes, kinda like Rej said, you may want to back down your machine track volume so as not to Clip on your Master Volume, especially with the affected machine's output relationship with the rest of your machine/synths (watch the VU Meters)

On my phone, I will max out my volume, on my tablet, I will do 2 clicks lower from the max volume.

Good luck!

Thanks A LOT for the hint

Thanks A LOT for the hint with the compressor at the master channel...

I just did this tune with two compressors and it helps a lot to spice up the sound:
