Finally finished a tune I started in December, hence the name Winter. Bears no resemblance to how it started, took a twist into a new territory this weekend. Quite likely inspired by Bojeroo and his heroic acid exploits.

if the link hasn't worked, please let me know. Struggling with the pathetically simple instructions in Mike's sticky post.

Heh, I swear if I had time to rewrite this part of the forum module I would. I think its ridiculous it tries to always think you want a link when you are pasting a link.
You need to past your soundcloud: as plain text, not copied from the broswer or web page.
Mike
Okay, so I get the link from soundcloud and...
Have you just fixed it for me Mike?
Because it was poorly sick until a couple of seconds ago o_O
(Mike fixed it for me)

Yeah I fixed it, I just sent you a PM describing what you need to do so the forum dosn't eat what I am trying to show you.
Mike
Nice groove..... you're really getting your groove with the app..... keep them comin...
Thank you :D I certainly try and play to my strengths. I'm getting quite adept at repetition, although I listen mainly to indie/alt rock and folk these days, I'm a sucker for a locked down groove.
Years ago I played bass and also had an Atari ST, Casio CZ1000 and a few others bits and pieces - Caustic knocks the socks off a couple of grands worth of kit.
I've bought a couple of music/keyboard books and a cheap keyboard recently to try and force myself to learn how to construct songs instead of tracks. My fear of chord changes, verses and choruses is a partial reflection on my lack of proper music theory.

Tell you what..... go to GPS and grab my Chord Builderz pack.... its free..... alot of the presets there are simple fundamental sounds and partial chords.... where you simply play two notes together and make entirely new soundscapes and lush chords.... no music theory required.... play across the entire keyboard on many presets and the sounds change in many ways...

I really like this, I think you've got some excellent sounds going on, and I like the drums. Well done for finishing it, I hope you got that sense of pride from releasing it into the wild! ;o)
If you were willing to post the caustic file, I'd quite like to do a remix?
I've already got it - I've DL'd most if not all of your content packs and other than the new Orchestral ones that appeared earlier this month, I've DL'd virtually all the Caustic 2 content packs on GPS. They're so cheap that I felt I may as well support the community however I can.
The problem is keeping track of what's been added!
I can find 3 presets called Chord Builderz, could you list all the presets in the Demo pack here and I'll have a play?

Bojeroo - I'll happily trade Caustic files with you, Would love the file for Synthahol, especially to follow through the crazy things you managed to do with effects and compressors on the lead sound(s).
In fact I'll set up a dropbox and post the Caustic file here anyway later today.

btw Mike, I was critiquing my limited ability when trying to get your simple and straight forward instructions to work, not your instructions.

Had a little play with this tune and this is the result:

Haven't put it on soundcloud, this is the caustic file only.
Love it, much smoother, with a dreamy feel and more space for the elements to float. Ha ha - you've introduced chord changes! That never happens left to my own devices.
I'm finding that remixes are a great way to learn from your peers

Glad you like it, it was a fun track to play with that's for certain! I thought it worked quite well with no chord changes until nearer the end, gives you a chance to get into the sounds first.
